I am vegetarian and I have to say that eating at Segundo is the best for any vegans/vegetarians since they have multiple options every single day. I actually ended up eating almost entirely vegan freshman year because the vegan food is actually soooo good. Also, tip to any freshman, don't go straight for the pizza and burgers, try to give most of the options a chance. Especially when random groups of kids on field trips show up around noon and they all go straight for the burgers and it's just chaos, it's good to have a trusty backup :)

Wow! I attended grad school at UCD and lived in the grad dorm for 1 year and a meal plan was mandatory. The food was AWFUL, some days inedible. Had to go get takeout from downtown and cost a fortune. Looks like you have it much better now!

wow shah's hala was 7 bucks max back in 2016 and before i graduated in 2017 they made 8.50 bucks max and now $10 that is too much. It was a place i go to when i was sad lol. It seems like ages ago not 3 years ago i am glad i am not there anymore and live 8 hours away i wish i took grad photos maybe but whatever they were 2 years of hell too many bad memories.

So if you're in Tercero, for example, and you want to eat at a different DC (assuming you have one of those 5/7day meal plan), you can just go in as if you are from that residential section?

Hi Tia!! I have a couple questions I hope you can answer! 1) can you go to which ever DC you want to at any time? aaand 2) How does Aggie cash work? Does it renew everyday or just every quarter? Thank you!!! Love the vid btw!!!

Hi! To answer the first question, yes, you can go to which ever DC you want, regardless of which housing you live in. For the second question, you get $200 worth of Aggie cash every quarter and it renews every quarter (the cash you don't use up by the end of the quarter rolls over to the next quarter).

If I pay for food to be included in my attendance costs, can I eat at any of the dining commons at anytime?

If you buy the meal plan with your dorm fees, yes, you can eat at the DC whenever it’s open (although this depends on the plan you chose, 5 day vs 7 day meal plan).

When u get your student ID card , it can be used as a debit card for the food trucks and stores for like little snacks you want to buy so your not spending your own money

^^ yup! if you buy a meal plan, you get aggie cash on your ID card to spend on food around campus! it’s pretty much a debit card, just like aniyah mentioned

unfortunately no :( they are not fans of people who try to take food out, so if you are going to try to do that, be sneaky and go out the back ;)

It varies from person to person (california resident vs. out-of-state vs. out-of-country is going to vary) but for me, living on campus is $4,500 a quarter. However, that could change next year so make sure to ask UC Davis to make sure.

HeyItsTiasBeauty would you say it’s easier and cheaper to share an off campus apartment (west village for example) with 2-4 people or live in single dorm? My family lives far and I don’t want to really travel back home for break (I want to stay away) so I want to see which option is cheaper.

@@onepunch2310 If you share a room with another person in your bedroom in West Village, yes it would be cheaper than living in a single dorm. However, if you rent your own bedroom in West Village, the cost per month could be comparable to a single dorm. Also, they only kick you out of the dorms during the 3 weeks of winter break, the other breaks you can stay on campus.
