uci dorm tour #1: arroyo vista (freshman edge dorm)

5 жыл бұрынWelcome to my first dorm tour at UCI! As I mention in the video, I am currently staying in Arroyo Vista for six weeks as a student in the UCI Freshman Edge program. In September, I will be moving out of Arroyo Vista, going home for a week, and then returning to UCI later in the month for fall quarter. Because I am only in this dorm for six weeks, I brought minimal decorations. Even though my dorm looks plain, I wanted to give you a general idea of what living in Arroyo Vista is like! In Arroyo Vista, the rooms are doubles (2 people to a room), there is a communal bathroom, one washer, and one dryer. In the kitchen, there are three refrigerators, one freezer, two microwaves, food lockers, two electric stoves, two ovens, and two sinks.

Thank you so much for this video! I was struggling to find videos/photos of the AV dorms on the UCI websites haha. I heard from some friends that AV dorm is old and "suckier" than the other dorm buildings, so I was freaked out since I move in this Sept lol. Thanks again!! You've been a huge help :)

Firstly I just want to say thank you so much for making this video! I've gone back to look at it several times to figure out what I need and what to expect (I'll be living in AV this fall) so it's been super helpful! I just wanted to ask what size containers did you get?

Hey I just finished watching your college acceptance video and I just wanted to congratulate you, I'm sure you worked so hard! I am currently a junior and wanted to ask why did you choose Irvine since you got accepted to USC??

Hi! I love your video. I'll be living in AV this fall and I was hoping you could help me answer some questions. First of all, how is it like to use the communal bathrooms? lol that lowkey freaks me out. And would you recommend getting a meal plan considering you have a kitchen in the house? Your room is SO cute!

Ana Valero Hi! Thank you!! Hahah I feel you on the communal bathrooms! Honestly, AV bathrooms are my favorite communal bathrooms at uci lol. The ones in my building were super spacious, and the shower had a changing area, which was really nice. I really liked using a mesh shower caddy instead of a plastic one so I could hang it on the hook with my robe. Overall, the bathrooms were really clean. For the meal plans, I would say maybe? I used the kitchen pretty often because I only went to campus three days a week. I did buy a meal plan when I lived in AV and had a bunch of swipes left (but I did buy the more expensive one), so maybe consider one of the smaller meal plans?

Pach Yes! Large communal kitchens with fridges, microwaves, an oven, and cubbies to keep your personal food and cooking supplies.
