Aurora Smith my laundry hamper was so small I was able to fold and unfold it. But I recommend a small one bc in the Mesa towers the laundry rooms are so close to your dorm.

I was actually able to choose my roommates. A good source for that would be Facebook and posting a picture and with hobbies of your own and how you are as a person just facts people can know about you. Basically there’s a Facebook page based on your school year for UCI and you meet lots of people. So I chose my roommates from Facebook and it went all well and still is!! But Uci can also pick your roommates randomly if eventually you didn’t find anyone to room with. Hopefully that helps you out , feel free to ask any other questions 😊

It is required to live on campus freshman year, but if you live nearby I believe you can commute. But I would recommend living on campus, and especially the towers they are cheaper than the other dorms and the towers are much more clean. However, renting an apartment can actually be cheaper than living in the dorms but I would consider that your second year. When considering how you'll pay for housing, keep in mind that financial aid money can often help pay your room and board costs if you live on campus. Also living on campus you really have everything close to you, everywhere that you will need to get to is like 10-20 minute walk MAX. I love the dorms and I think you should consider them 💗

Diety Madrid omg yay hopefully you do get the quads your freshman year. My friends were in a sorority for only 2 of our quarters they said it was nice because you were always involved in school organizations. But I’m not sure how much the cost would be. However, during welcome week there are so many booths of clubs and sororities and you can always ask plenty of questions there too 😊

estrella vargas My first year experience has been challenging but I was able to get through the obstacles by pushing myself ! But a few tips I would really recommend to attend office hours, because the professors are there to help you understand the material. Also tips on what to bring to college really bring clothes you wear, because I brought clothes I never even wore through the year. Because first you don’t want your dorm to be overfilled with things from home. But what I did before leaving I made a list of things I would need, making a checklist with main things we need like, towels, shampoo and all of that! And trust me if you feel like maybe you forgot something at home either your parents can take it to you or they can even mail it! We have UTC university town center, about a 10 minute walk from campus and there we have target and a few other food courts so you can always go there if you need any supplies. And also congratulations on your admission 🎉💕 make the best of it !!! Fun fact: I’m actually gonna be taking some bio sci classes so that should be interesting 😊

Thats great congratulations !!! Im actually looking forward in minoring in Drama ! Advice would be to be opened , and meet lots of people to join clubs and other activities on campus. I also encourage you to attended professors office hours. And number one do not procrastinate because everything will come at you very quickly since it is a quarter system. Take careful notes and try not to stress as much, try and do homework and finish it on time. One time I pulled 2 all nighters which is very unhealthy so, time management is very important. And be the real you embrace yourself :)) you can do it!

The desk is from school, it comes with your dorm. But my mirror I bought it from Marshalls. They have great stuff and good deals!! :)

Criminology has been great so far. I started taking a most of my GE's and two of my crim classes, so you can always go on your own pace. But I would really recommend going to workshops because they give you so much advice and they even help you with your degree requirements.
