I love UCO products. I edc the storm proof matches and put them in all my kits with the sweetfire matches. That's the first time I'm seeing the fire pit and I'm liking it. The only thing I didn't see was a squirrel roasting on the coals. its breakfast time and I'm hungry. Other than that nice video.........

I've been using this grill for a couple of seasons, mainly as a fire pit. I will use an existing fire pit if there is one where I am at( and it isn't full of trash and unfired ammo) but I no longer build them. My flat pack grill gives me nearly instant set up for making a fire and it burns everything pretty much to ash so it is really close to "leave no trace".
@SurvivalOnPurpose
@SurvivalOnPurpose 5 жыл бұрын
Yep. I left mine out in the rain with the ashes in it for about a week just to see if it caused any damage and it is no worse for wear.

@@SurvivalOnPurpose It really is an excellent piece of kit for the price. I recommend the pocket bellows to go along with it. I thought it was gimmicky at first but then I decided to try it out.......another great piece of kit. You can use a bit of copper tubing and some surgical tubing or vacuum line too.......but for $11 or $12 you can have a lightweight collapsible bellows that keeps you off of your knees and out of the fire. I sit in my lawn chair and casually apply air when needed to stoke up the flat pack!

@TTGLL
@TTGLL 5 жыл бұрын
@@SurvivalOnPurpose yeah looked at it when I posted my apology LoL. Still have a pack of the genuine made in the USA stuff it my GSD bag. I tested it and statically it will hold over 600lbs. The interim batch still marked made in the USA snapped while holding two boats together for a tow. 14 foot Jon boat and trolling motor with a cooler and a couple fishing poles do not weigh 550lbs being dragged through the water in a lake. Now is labeled made in China 550 Paracord and it's still not actually 550 cord if you look on their site they tip toe around it but when I complained about it they said its not recommended to be used for load bearing uses. That's literally what 550 means.

Thank you for sharing, I have a couple of questions Brian. Was it hard to put the grill on with the pit hot? Did it warp any after heating and cooling? Thank you again for sharing such nice items.
@SurvivalOnPurpose
@SurvivalOnPurpose 5 жыл бұрын
It was simple to put the grill on using the included little wire tool/handle thingy. I thought I recorded that but I must have forgotten to push the button on my camera because I have no footage. There was absolutely no warpage AND I left it outside in the rain for about a week with the coals and ashes still in it to see if that hurt anything. Other than some expected soot staining it is 100% fine. I'm impressed with this one.

I’ve had mine for over a year, I don’t cook in it, I use my Firebox for that, I’ve used at times some pretty hard wood like oak or eucalyptus, after all this time and countless really hot fires it warped slightly but it hasn’t affected the ability to fit the grill if I wanted to or repack inside the case. I love mine so much in fact I have 2 since I camp a lot. It really keeps you warm using less wood.

Bryan, great video as always man, nice ramble management LOL Have you ever heard of Wysi Wipes? They are dry wipes of some material that when wet expand into usable wipes for cleaning and general hygiene. I pack a few in all my kits/bags, they are condensed when dry and take up very little space. Great for first aid kits also. I bought their 100 count bag from Amazon for $11.95. Please check them out for a possible review Thanks!
