I was told you hold the buttons on the steering wheel (not the head unit) and after 32 seconds it beeped. The rest of the procedure was the same as yours. Worked for me.

Worked for me!! Thanks a heap! My uConnect was acting like the only audio was call audio even though my phone was turned off.. I turned the volume knob and it displayed "phone volume.." was driving me crazy.

This solved my issue, which was that the screen was stuck on and incoming call. Thanks!

Let me get this straight, you made a video about how it "did not work"???

there is a circuit breaker or connector of some kind (black)..not the yellow one.. under the hood in the front fuse box that you have to unplug # 26. it doesn't come all the way out, so don't try and completely pull out. it pulls out and locks into place. this is also used for when you leave vehicle parked for long periods of time not to drain the battery. leave it unplugged for 1 min. it should reset. hopefully this helps.

I don't know how to explain but it worked for me... did all the steps and before you turn car on turn bluetooth off on your phone and then start the car and as soon as it starts wait 10 seconds and press the voice activation twice and it fixed my problem of having no sound or volume controls glitch

My uconnect Bluetooth isn’t working… I have a 2011 jeep grand Cherokee it’s so aggravating. Everything else is working perfectly fine(radio, camera , etc) . Any recommendations???

Funny I had to do something similar to my RAM 2014 yesterday. It did an OTA update while I was driving and lost all my saved GPS destinations. Uconnect had me do that, but no go. I lost everything and boy am I pissed.

I have no sound on my mygig 730n rer unit, when i hit the uconnect or vr it says activating but never do.

When turning the key fob in the ignition to the first notch is ACC (accessory) mode for using the radio and other electronics, the second notch (without actually starting the vehicle) is the RUN mode which activates the alternator and initiates the cars computer and runs through the electrical sequence. Was finally able to get someone competant at UConnect customer service yesterday who walked me through these steps for my 2019 Caravan. Afterward, when first powering on the vehicle the UCoonect logo appeared and my station presets were reset. So the soft seems to be successful. Off Topic: Anyone happen to know why when I transfer MP3 files from a USB flash drive using the front USB port on the UConnect 430 (unit seen in this video) they duplicate on the hard drive and I either have to skip through the second or listen to each track twice?

This is 6 years later but your supposed to get a software update if that wasn’t obvious already but that’s a problem with a lot of vehicles

You have to use the VR help and talk to the computer it will ask you questions and then a pin number

I'm having a similar problem with my you connect on my new Jeep Grand Cherokee. My problem is that it won't read any of my USB devices or USB zip drives. Do you have any solutions to this problem, or can yo point me in the rite direction as to were i can find a users manual? thanks in advance.

I’m gonna try this on mine with radio off. I bought a 2009 Dodge Journey. When I press the phone button it says “uconnect not equipped” yet when I go to mopar.com to make check my uconnect version it says mine is up to date... if anyone has any advice please reply and let me know what to do. Go to driveuconnect.com and download the update to a USB Flash Drive and it will update the radio. i just did it and it changed alot of issues.
