Mike Judge is not only an animator, writer, producer, director, trained physicist & mathematician, he is also a prophet. Anyone who has ever seen more than one episode of Beavis & Butt-Head and has watched the movie Idiocracy can attest to that. It is too easy to make entertainment that entertains for a short time & then disappears. But to make something that stands the test of time is truly something special, for that takes a mind that is unique. It takes a person that understands life & how to express his or her experiences in said life. I raise a glass to Mike Judge for entertaining us as well as educating us. Peace.

Honestly this is the most down to earth speech a college student can hear. No bullshit here, just explained failure is a part of life and how you can overcome it. Maybe not to the level of the biggest animated show of the 90's, but something.

But the college kids today are leftists by indoctrination. Failure cannot be allowed, since it means that someone ELSE caused them to fail at something. They cannot have their feelings hurt, they cannot be insulted (even if only in their imagination) so this kind of message is most likely ignored or lost on them.

Mike Judge is obviously one of the greatest comic and animation originators in America. I personally have seen nobody better and of his calibre. Beavis and Butthead, King of the Hill, Idiocracy and Office Space are works of major comic genius. He must have had support of most of North America and associated Teams, not to mention fame across the World. He obviously developed the whole thing from scratch, down to doing the voiceovers himself. A great success story. Long may it continue.

Talk about Idiocracy! This is the best college address I've ever heard. He starts off by saying that he wasn't invited because if his intelligence or contributions to academia, but because he made a popular piece of entertainment. Then he completely subverts higher education, saying one of the hardest fields to get a degree in got him nothing he expected or deserved. He adds that the entire college ideation is fluff imposed on the youth by people they should trust. He does all of this subtly, to an audience who showed up only to hear him tell jokes in funny voices.

Actually the audience came to graduate and watch people graduate: he was the keynote speaker. Talk about idiocracy
