The UDID project initiated by Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities aims at building a holistic end-to-end integrated system for Issuance of Universal ID & Disability Certificates for Person with Disabilities with their identification and disability details.
The UDID card shall bring a host of benefits to the Persons with Disabilities as given below: Persons with disabilities will not need to make multiple copies of documents, maintain, and carry multiple documents as the card will capture all the necessary details which can be decoded with the help of a reader.
UDID Card will be acceptable everywhere to prove one's disability condition. “At present the disability certificates of one state are not recognized in the other.
Benefits of the Disability Certificate
Scholarship schemes for students with disabilities.
Concession in railway fare.
Rebate in income tax.
Reservation in government jobs.
Free travel in state transport buses.
Loan for starting own business.
Subsidized prosthetic aids and assistive devices (like wheelchairs)
Special Benefits for Persons with Disabilities
Concession on railways. Railways allow persons with disability to travel at concession fares up to 75% in the first and second classes. ...
Air travel concessions. ...
Postage. ...
Customs/excise. ...
Conveyance allowance. ...
Educational Allowance. ...
Income tax concession. ...
Award of dealership by oil companies.
In an attempt to create a National Database for PwDs, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities has been issuing a Unique Disability Identity Card (UDID) to each person with disabilities. ... UDID certificate is not mandatory for availing any direct benefits for PwDs whereas Disability Certificate is.
Person with Disability will click on register link to register with UDID Web Portal.
Using credentials PwD logs in to system and click “Apply online for Disability Certificate. ...
Upload color passport photo and other requisite documents like Income Proof, Identity Proof and SC/ST/OBC proof as required.

09:25 Brother, it is just a myth that introduction of this card (or this way of getting the cards made) have shorten the wait time, and have made the process of getting this card made more feasible, there are government officials there who're always begging for money (Even I have seen the official in the process asking person, who was selling crackers at that time, for cracker, that too for each type specifically) then comes the government hospitals where the pace of getting the things done is really poor (I am from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh)

1. road tax from state govt is waived off, car value limit is there please 2. gst on car is reduced from 28 to 18 % you need to get certificate from central govt. 3. don't know about toll.
