Yeah it's one of the rare instances where brushed is better. You have that with crawlers sometimes too. I did another video of the brushed lancia version of this car the EAT 15 and it was so much better to drive.

I actually think the brushed version of these cars are better than the brushless ones in overall handling and control, especially when drifting.

Thank you sir. Usually when I film I'm always the one holding the camera mounted to the radio but this time we changed it up to stabilize the footage a bit better and I like that tado and I are both visible. It does seem a bit more personal. I also like when I can see other RC people on their channels too like yourself, RC guy garage , Thompson rc sometimes appears on his videos too. It does seem to add something.

In the follow up to this video I actually found that getting good straight speed runs is easier if you take the front drive shafts out and just go rear wheel drive. But then drifting with it becomes difficult. Super fun car!

I was actually surprised I broke an A arm because they seemed so well protected by the big foam bumper . But it really is a little blast of an rc car. I'm going to pop in that 4800 kv motor next time and see if we can get anywhere close to 50. Stabilizing the car is going to be the real challenge I think.

Yep I'm actually going to pop on some slightly larger slightly softer tires here in a few minutes, raise the suspension just enough to clear them, and give it another go. I really do believe that car can do 50 on the 4800kv motor which I just finished installing. These runs were on the stock motor and I still think if we could have held it at al,l it could do 40. When I was putting in the new motor I noticed a few design features that really impressed me for such a cheap rc. I'll cover them a bit in the next video. That's going to be the go for 50 then race it against the 144010 video. Then the skatepark after that. Then the next rc car is going to be something a bit bigger and more serious.

@@Rek_Rc It sure is a nice car for the price and would be perfect for a small track with tight turns. I'm sure you will get your 50 mph. Your good with speed runs. I think I'm going to scale down my cars. Rather than striving to go big some day and get an X-Max, I think it would be more fun to work with 12th scale cars. There is a small track near my house and lots of people are starting to go there so I just think it would be fun to give it a go.

@@RCRoads you're absolutely right, I've learned recently that smaller rc cars of decent quality are every bit as much fun as the big dogs and sometimes more so because you can drive them almost anywhere. HBX models, most Hosim models, MJX hypergo, are just a few examples of really well made, quite tough and fast smaller scale rc cars. I've had so much fun with the little UDIRC 1607 pro just drifting around and trying to get better at it that I haven't pooped a battery into my arrma or Traxxas since the little Porsche arrived. I also repaired the wltoys 144010 back to it's former glory and i forgot that it's a 60mph car strait out of the box for under 150 dollars (just don't crash it). The smaller scale cars are where it's at especially for building channels like ours. RC guy garage does a lot of smaller cheaper cars and his channel is taking off, same with tomley rc. They both do bigger stuff too, but the bulk of what they do focuses on smaller stuff that people can actually afford, and it's just plain fun. I Iove Kevin Talbot but I can't afford most of the cars he does, I watch his videos as more of a way to live my rc dreams through him lol.

@@Rek_Rc Well said. I totally agree. I think the best part about going with smaller cars is simply the fact that when your filming and driving you really need to work at it. When you watch a video of a small car it's the same as a big one. The car and ramp might be smaller but the action is the same. So an X-max can fly 200 ft through the air but a 14th scale car might only travel 50 feet but on screen it looks the same. Besides it's easier to store and maintain small cars.

This is the brushless version, but for these cars the brushed version is actually better.

@@maxthemaltesedog3597 the brushed version is just much more smooth to drive, it drifts much more easily with more control because the brushed motor has smoother modulation of power.

That's a bummer. At least parts for it are super cheap. Is it brushed or brushless?

@Rek_Rc brushless, the lights don't work either. I turned the remote on and then held the power button on the car. Still just goes back and forth no steering. Am I missing anything? Any connections

Actually yes, believe it or not, the brushed version of these is actually better. Almost as fast out of the box, but much smoother handling and drifting.
