Is the attention to detail and work ethic why Japan's economy has been stagnant for about twenty years now? The "Lost Decade" has been adding decades.

@@answerman9933 No, it's because the US forcibly inflated the yen with the Plaza Accord and embargoed tons of tech, their entire semiconductor industry, food goods, software (TRON) to destroy their export economy, and then crashed their economy again along with the global economy in 2008 after it had started recovering.

@Critical Strike Forge What does what you just wrote have to do with Japan's economic stagnation? By the way, I fart in my undies because it is just too much trouble to remove them for each fart. Or, is my lack of the removal of my undies just another example of the lack of craftsmanship prevalent in these times?

Where I grew up, there was a little Chinese carry out place in my neighborhood. A tiny hole in the wall, the only seating was a bench where you waited for your order at a window. They were surrounded by fast food places, but they made the best food for miles around, and their place was always packed with people ordering from them. Tiny little places like this are true gems. No pre-packaged, pre-processed food that the restaurant doesn't cook, but just heats up and serves. Keep your fancy, high-end restaurants that barely feed you and call it art. This is true art, made by people with a passion for not just making good food, but for also brightening the day of someone who might not have had a good day. This is what true chefs live for...making people smile.

There was a small noodle shop down this back alley run by an older woman in her 60's , on the weekends I slip off base to the shop and sit for hours eating noodles and watching sumo with the woman's father who was in his 80's . Couldn't understand each other for shit but we always had fun and enjoyed ourselves. Well we had fun until my parents showed up , I was only 6 -8 years old at that time .
