Epic conditions at the UEC MTB European Championships. Here are the Women Elite XCO race highlights as seen from the side of the track. The event was held on 12.05.2024 in Romania, at the Cheile Gradistei mountain sports resort.
Rain, cold and mud on the track were the ingredients for a epic battle between the best women MTB riders in the world.
The initial part of the race was a battle between PIETERSE Puck (NED), the current MTB XCO European Champion and the world MTB XCO champion FERRAND PREVOT Pauline (FRA).
The French rider abandoned the race due to a fall so Puck Pieterse found herself leading the race all alone.
Puck Pieterse defended her European Championship XCO Elite Women's title that she also won in 2023.

thanks for the comment. oh yes, it was inhuman especially for the women that had rain during the entire race. On the men's one it stopped but it was colder.

That airpressure horn operator near the camera is driving me crazy… and so does Mona Mitterwallner, but in a good way. Once again she came out of nowhere to the silver medal, mindblowing Mona! Thanks for the spectacle! ❤️

On a smaller, and less technical scale, I plan on trying to use some of these features on my future backyard track. While not easy to ride, those are the sweetest rock gardens I've ever seen. I also checked your channel because of this video, I am now a subscriber. I will be paying very close attention to your videos on how to film. Thank You!!

Thanks for the comment. But on the other hand you also had a World Cup MTB event organized in Snowshoe in the past years. This year I see that they moved it to Mt Van Hoevenberg - Lake Placid.

Watching the rock garden from the top imposes eay more respect to the riders!

you see that the rockgarden had 2 sections. The upper one was more difficult.

Pauline crashed and abandoned the race due to deformed brakelever? Mona crashed at the very same spot and continued. Well earned silver medal. Bravo! ❤️
