Great timing by Martins, quick stepping back baiting Islam to overextend and then coming right back with a counter punch in a split second. I suppose that was part of his game plan, otherwise I think one have to be extremely skilled to do it in the moment that fast. Islam is really skilled and hard to beat, but that one got him good. Good learning lesson for him, only made him stronger afterwards.

Martins had a pretty good record at this point. It sucks that he couldn't maintain it and that he was released from the promotion eventually.

Officially, he hasn't but it's really hard to score the Tibau fight in his favour. I've tried several times and I don't see it. Even after the fight before they announced the scores Rogan and Goldberg were saying how the first loss will be a big learning experience for Khabib and were stunned by the call.
