Miocic vs Ngannou 2 will headline UFC 260, a card that also features a featherweight title bout between champion Alexander Volkanovski and Brian Ortega. Miocic and Ngannou met previously at UFC 220 on January 20, 2018, where Miocic won via unanimous decision and broke the record for most consecutive heavyweight title defenses (3).
After his loss to Miocic, Ngannou lost to Derrick Lewis at UFC 226 (which was the same night Miocic lost his belt to Daniel Cormier). But has since rebounded with four straight first-round knockouts.
Miocic rematched Cormier at UFC 241 and was again crowned the new heavyweight champion. The trilogy took place at UFC 252 where Miocic won via unanimous decision. He has now defended the heavyweight title four times during the two reigns, and has won eight of his last nine fights. Stipe Miocic is considered to be the greatest UFC heavyweight champion of all time.
