Replying to "Apple Thunder spice". It's about Control. The reason why Morgan gets the first question each time is CONTROL. The UFC and Dana, needed better control over the interviews/media. Morgan works for the UFC, his job is to "softball" the questions, ask the most obvious questions (to get them out of the way). It helps the UFC control the narrative. Also, To be fair, most people just watch the first few minutes of an interview. If the UFC can control that space, really well. They effectively control what 90% of casuals / fans, See, think and feel. This is my opinion anyway. Happy to be proven wrong.

It's crazy how relax Gane is. No nerves, no fear whatsoever. He was smiling while evading Lewis. Even when he won, no screaming. And him giving the belt to his coach is class. The same coach that took Francis out of the streets and Francis betrayed.

It's not just the years it's the mileage and War Aldo has been through a lot brutal fights and even more brutal camps and training sessions. That wears on the body just as much if not more as just years passing.

I really like the fact that Danna immediatly stopped the ''Lewis lost because of pressure" to state is straight by saying "Gane was just too much for him''. It's a victoy for Gane more than a lost for Lewis. Both are incredible fighters, one was better that night, simple as that. Tbh, that's the UFC I like, way more than any ''fooking ankle" drama bs.

When I seen the face-off with Gane and Lewis I knew it was a wrap. Everytime Lewis has acted like that he gets pieced up. I feel he was nervous beyond normal and was trying to intimidate, he doesn't need to act like that when he knows.

I went to this card in Houston tonight, was my first live UFC event. Aldo got a huge pop from the crowd and Lewis looked like he didn’t wanna be there. My seats were $120 each and I was sitting pretty, highly recommend.

I really see Ciryl has the best chance besides Stipe at dethroning the champ. Plus Gane was Francis's sparring partner awhile back. That's interesting as hell. I think Ciryls looseness and floating hopping around technique is really going to test Francis. It seems like Ciryl is a up and coming superstar. 👍

Yeah Stipe past his prime though but prime stipe beats Francis most nights. Haven’t really seen Gane get hit hard so not sure but if he can take a shot he’ll smoke Francis. Francis just freak power puncher on steroids don’t think he’ll be around long if he fights guys like Gane or someone like stipe still in their prime.

Gane really impressed me tonight. I knew how good his striking was but I thought Lewis power would cause Gane to find tentatively but he completely picked Lewis apart giving him no room to get his offense going whatsoever

@Danny D Dog Lewis still has the power we saw it in his last fight against Blaydes. He just simply got out techniqued by a much more experienced and skilled striker in Gane but I think Francis is going to have a hard time with Gane if he doesn’t KO him in the first round

He did muay thai for 3 years and became muay thai champ then started mma 3 years ago and now is interim champ. He surely has less experience

Crazy the evolution of the sport used to just be all wrestlers that learned to kickboxer and box dominating aside from Aldo and Silva. At one point the champs were like Weidman Jones Cain GSP (who didn’t grow up wrestling but that was his best tool) Edgar and so on. Now you are seeing a lot of Kickboxers who are working on takedown D! Style Bender AND Gane style. Now we always had some great strikers who had worked on great takedown d to keep it on the feet like Chuck and BJ but chuck wrestled coming up and BJ was a BJJ expert. I think we are gonna see many more of these kickboxers going for belts. Volk used his wrestling to steal it on the cards last time vs Max but he’s really a leg kicking kick boxer too. I’m excited to see in ten years the development of how well rounded these guys coming up will be! Insane we came from striker vs grapple with head butts!
