Oliveira looked incredibly positive at the ceremonial weigh in. Wonder if someone in the know has told him that if he wins he could win an appeal and the decision could be overturned since it wasn’t his fault. Can’t announce that before the fight since it basically says it’s ok to miss weight and punishes Gaethje but if it happens after then Gaethje has no beef.

For those wondering Charles will still get ppv points because he signed the contract as the champion going into this fight. After the fight is over if he wins or looses the title will either be Justin’s or vacant he will leave the octagon no longer champ either way

a lot of ppl are sleeping on justin . they forgot that justin once knocked out edson barboza, who was just as dynamic as charles in striking and had great grappling and he is arguably stronger and hits harder than charles. justin is very dangerous. and also, don't forget justin back then vs edson wasn't even nearly as patient or experienced as he is now

I feel like I’m alone here but I truly believe Carla wins this fight with relative ease. I don’t say this with any bearing whatsoever on the first meetup. I just think stylistically she’s Roses kryptonite. Look how good Xiang did arguably beating Rose with the takedowns. Well Carla is 10X better and the more natural wrestler that can negate Roses badassery on the feet. Won’t be pretty but I pic Esparza with a TON of boring ground control for the one sided W.

I’m not going to watch this fight because it makes no sense. To strip a champions belt just like that makes absolutely no sense and tarnishes that office and accomplishment of the best in the world. If He was cheating we will understand but that belt just feels line it has no value. I mean will you strip Connor Mcgregor before a fight and face the wrath of the Irish? No This is too disrespectful.

Are people stupid or what? When he missed weight the first time he was given an hour to rid himself of half a pound and yet failed. Scale malfunction or not he couldn't lose half a pound in 1 hour. How do you justify that?
