Not to mention kattar is top 3 most entertaining featherweigtht. Lopes is probably the most entertaining prospect atm and yusuff is coming off the most entertaining fight of October. Nickal and brundage is going to end in a finish. Cody and Figgy are never in boring fights. I know people dont like wmma but andrade and weili are the most entertaining womens fighter by far

If they could get Conor and Chandler to fight for an inaugural 165 Super Lightweight Belt and have Leon and Belal move the existing belt up to 175, both fights on the 300 card, that would just be absolutely insane, and it's feasible assuming Conor can be in fight shape at that weight. Not only does it make the card live up to the hype, it also let's the current WW fighters choose going forward which division they want to compete in. One has Conor at the top (who everyone will want to fight obviously) and the other has Leon/Belal and is the division they have known, with a slightly easier cut. The other benefit is that this can break up that cluster of Kill Cliff FC fighters who won't fight each other clogging the rankings.

@@koml3uch4 To me it makes perfect sense...it's not like the UFC is losing money...MMA overall is probably the fastest growing sport in the last decade, so they would eventually bring in enough talent to add depth to both divisions. I just don't see Dana pulling the trigger on that though...for...reasons, I guess. He should do it though, and officially close WFW at the same time.

Izzy not coming back unless it’s for the belt. It would either be Izzy vs DDP or Khamzat vs DDP. But neither of those fights meet the expectations set by Dana. Jones won’t be healed up in time so it’s not him. Conor comes to mind, but as to who he would be fighting obv Nate/Chandler make the most sense. This one definitely won’t happen but a Khabib return would meet the expectations as well. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Well there’s not “that main fight I wanna see” on this card but it’s because all of the fights are interesting, even the prelims would make a nice main card. The match between Gaethje v Holloway is not one I’m totally happy about because they’re both my Favs, and someone has to loose. Which someone career will be diminished, yet still interesting.

I think the main reason people bashes UFC 300 is because they keep marketing it like this once in a decade event, that in terms of serialization of the numbered events is but it doesn't seem to align with this idea of being a culmination/celebration for what the promotion has been striving so far. I don't think the fanfare wich they present it with are so much for the fans but for the more casual spectators

Tbh I don’t think Bo Nickal should be on the card at all. There’s no reason for a squash match to be on 300, regardless if he’s a prospect or not. Holm vs Harrison makes more sense than Nickal being on the card.

Kinda disappointing to see that you too have joined into the "hate on Belal" trend. Belal might not be a finisher but he's a do it all kind of fighter, well rounded and durable. He goes the distance but always gives it his all and isn't afraid to stand and bang with his opponents. People really just like to hate on him for no reason when they are much more boring fighters who don't get a fifth of the hate that he's getting.

Weasel & fans over here suprised by a fight promoter hyping up (aka 'promoting') a fight card, event & the main fight, to the point of saying he shouldn't do that. Isn't that part of his job & fight promotion? As for Leon, when has he ever been someone who has a say in where & when his next fight is going to be? So can we consider what he said as what's going to happen or most likely to happen? I'm sure he wants to headline 300 bc he'll get a better PPV check than if he headlines another numbered PPV. He put it out there hoping that it may help it materialise if people started talking about him headlining with excitement but the opposite is happening.

With the way Deiveson pulls back with his chin up I could Cody catching him regardless of the length & reach of Deiveson. This could work out well for Cody but like everything MMA it could be a disaster in terms of getting out grappled. Not a bad card considering 299, I mean all the best that they can round up are fighting in coming months.

300 isn’t shit, however 300 is underrated not because it isn’t good but because it isn’t what it’s supposed to be. 300 is supposed to be amazing, outstanding, not just good. I’m looking forward to 300 as is, but it isn’t what it’s supposed to be .
