I think if gaethje can't knock him out ilia won't, so I think ilia would use more jiu-jitsu to take max down. That being said, max is a great striker with better cardio, and great takedown defense. I'd give it to max but who knows.

They can't "force" him to fight. They can only make 3 offers, then he's on ice. Which will hurt Topuria. Topuria could also be hard ball negotiating to a stipulation that the rematch should happen in Spain, not Perth. He could also be trying to get more money, who knows what he's thinking. But you can not force a fighter to fight, even if they were employed and not contractors like they are now. It's against the law. You're allowed to turn down any fights. Worst comes to worst they could just let him sit out and have Max do his thing until Ilia is eventually stripped for inactivity. lol if they really wanted to make Ilia look bad, they could make Volk vs Max 4 at lightweight for the BMF and make a point that Ilia didn't want to fight either of them.

I think Volkanovski could have come a little bit more prepared. He should take those media jobs a bit more seriously so he can have them more often. Fans love him and it's a way to stay busy but I think he should give the job the respect it needs
