UFC CEO Dana White announced Sunday that Oliveira faces Tsarukyan in a lightweight bout at UFC 300

Oliveira was originally set to fight Makhachev at UFC 294 this past October, but a last-minute cut suffered in training forced him out of that main event spot (he was subsequently replaced by featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, who lost to Makhachev via first-round knockout). “Do Bronx” first fought Makhachev at UFC 280 for a vacant lightweight title, which Makhachev won by submitting Oliveira in the second round.

Charlie Olives!! He, too, fully has his place in this era of an unbelievable, incredible division! He has beat all the top current contenders other than the current champ. R E S P E C T 💯 All of these contenders had a moment where Oliviera was in a bit of "trouble" but he pulled through & gets a finish!! Not just decisions. I think he flourishes through adversities. The hungry, new guys will one day become our line up, until then, whenever that is, I'll go with Oliveira! ✨️

I mean.. we don't discredit Islam for getting KOd by Adriano Martins in his early days in the UFC, why are we discrediting Arman, ESPECIALLY since it was his first fight and on 2 weeks.. I agree completely, and that’s no disrespect I’m totally for creators trying new things it’s just when it comes to this series that they have going on, they’ve perfected it. I actually kinda liked the other style too, but perhaps for a different type of video like MMA news or MMA history, or even making videos for Card build ups, covering what the fighters have been doing in the meantime between their fights. Arman needs to win this if he ever wants a chance at title fight. Olivera on other hand needs this to stay in title contention talks. Big fight for both guys for sure, I think Arman grinds it out and gets sub or finish in 4th/5th round. or Olivera will finish Arman in the early rounds. I have a feeling Olivs takes this, considering how he lost to Islam with quickness. I'm sure he been working on not being in that position again.

Even islam cannot control charles on the ground. The only way to beat olive is to catch him standing and hurt him. If the fight becomes a ground game, arman will be very,very carefull with each movement. Charles guard is very dangerous and lets not forget hes faced the best srikers like poirier, justin, chandler in a row. He just need to improve his head movement.

I'm leaning more in favor of Charles.. but only by a little because he has doubtful defense. Charles is more beatable now after losing to Islam... team eagle has showed an effective strategy to snuff his game at the least. I like Charles but his coaches seem not so keen on making tailored strategy for his respective opponent. He looks like he walks in there expecting the other to fight on his terms.. a grave error when he's up against a dominant player w/ a different style like Islam had. Now Arman here is more stronger than him and faster on the feet than Islam.. w/ the right offensive & defensive approach he has better chance to KO Charles imo.

Islam himself says that Gamrot is the hardest fight for him in the division. He's always smart in his trash-talk and how he with intensions shitts over competition because he is showing dominance in status against Arman, who gave him a hard fight in his UFC debut. Gamrot or Tsarukyan should get a fight with the champ.

Charles has too much experience, too much power, too dangerous on the ground. The fact he's nearly a +200 betting underdog is ridiculous. This is going to be the same result as Dustin vs Benoit, young up and Comer is going to grt humbled.

Arman needs a little bit of humbling, he’s an amazing fighter but I think he needs a bit more time to mature into it. I predict Arman gets a bit too confident with his striking and Charles puts his lights out. I could be so damn wrong but that’s what I’m putting my bet on.
