I actually did the first EA UFC already. I plan on doing 2-4 at some point next year, and might delve into the sixth gen titles at some point. I also dug into the very first UFC game on the Sega Dreamcast.

Yes, though they are pretty rare. I think certain fighters can get KOs from defensive slams during armbars, triangles and groundbusters, too. There's a ton I didn't see that I remember happening in older playthroughs. Like, I don't think I saw a single leg kick TKO in my entire 15 hours of playing for this review. I find they happen A LOT in EA UFC 3, which I like because I tend to prefer wrestlers over strikers.

It was, I just never saw it happen while playing for this review. I actually found that you have to really work the legs for two or three rounds before you see some leg snapping goodness.

Ebay is thattaway 👉 But get the PS3 version if possible. It has less performance issues, and copies with the online pass are easier to find.

Something I never touched on is that you can often strike during submissions, or strike to set submissions up. Those things, and everything you mentioned are things I plan on mentioning in the event I re-review Undisputed 3. There's quite a few mechanics I didn't bring up in this video.

I recall it having it, but it's been a good while since I've played. I want to say check your settings to see if you have it on, but I want to say it does have it.

Its a better love story than Twilight.

You should get to it, it's a fantastic game that's probably the best simulation to real MMA that we've ever had.

Get EA MMA. It has legally safe Pride rules, and the career mode is a lot better. Gameplay wise, if you can get used to the much faster, and looser combo structure of EA MMA, its a great time. Both are fantastic games, and are valued parts of my MMA game collection. If you're lucky, you're copy might be unopened. I know a lot of people are selling new old stock of Undisputed 3, and the online is actually still up for friend matches, just not for randoms.

I wouldn't say its "bad" in EA MMA, just really basic. You got your button for transitioning, and one for blocking. But Undisputed's ground game has that nuance grappling requires. You can move left and right, make big or small moves, hold the opponent down. Undispute 3's submissions are way better in the sense I can explain them to a friend that has never played before, and still have some great submission battles.

In short, no. In long, literally everything of the game has been scrubbed from online stores, including the game's demo. I think if you emulate the game, you can probably snag them, but no official, or legal ways. Shame, because Overeem was crazy fun to play as.

I actually really like the way the EA UFC games handle it, where each move has a set amount of gates. My only issue is they aren't very well balanced. Its super easy to use something with 2 gates and secure a win if you know what you're doing. Not to mention that subs become totally worthless in career mode if you play above normal difficulty. Looking back, I definitely think Undisputed 3's simpler submissions is its greatest strength. EA UFC is good, but it gets wrapped up in so many systems and mechanics, that it bogs it down a bit.

Oh, for sure. It lacks the smoothness of any of the EA games, but makes up for it by giving the player so many options in fights. Its like comparing Dark Souls to Devil May Cry. Undisputed is about being slow and methodical, forcing players to commit to things. You won't be spamming spinning kicks. EA UFC is good, but its more of a sit-with-friends kind of game. You can make way more mistakes in EA UFC, compared to Undisputed, and as a result, spamming and button mashing are a bigger deal in those games.

I second this! I think is THE game that all other MMA games are measured up to. 11 years later and it's still the golden standard. I know there's a handful of people who say that EA MMA is the game to beat, and while I don't agree, I can respect everyone has their own opinion. I tried hard to get into EA MMA and it just never clicked with me. However, I do feel EA MMA had some good things going for it, like the online fight cards(why doesn't EA include this feature in their UFC games?!?!??), probsbly the best head and body damage regeneration system, and the ability to change fight organizations in career mode. Personally I just didn't like the actual gameplay but they definitely had some good concepts.

EA MMA is definitely a contender, but I feel Undisputed 3 edges it out ever so slightly. Had EA MMA had more content, I think it might be different, but Undisputed 3 has so damn much to it.

@nicksrandomreviews5196 I have a ton of gripes with EA MMA, but the largest one, for me anyways, is there is no real fighter individuality. They all pretty much have the same movesets, move exactly the same, don't have any of their signature strikes. This is the area I feel Undisputed 3 really has a huge lead. All the big name fighters have their trademark strikes; Liddell had his overhand right, Machida has the Switch kick, Cro Cop has his trademark left high kick, Spider has his famous front kick, GSP has his spinning heel kick, and so on. But in EA MMA, Fedor doesn't really feel much different than Nick Diaz, or Couture, or Bob Sapp for that matter. I know a handful of people do prefer EA MMA, and everyone has their own tastes and opinions. I tried so hard to love it, when I first heard about it my thoughts were "well they make killer boxing games so its gonna be amazing". Guess I didn't realize at the time how much more has to go into an MMA game than boxing. And I'll be honest, the roster really had me hyped beyond belief. I know some people say not having the UFC license kinda killed it from the get go, but I don't think that's the case, we'll not for true MMA fans. The roster they pulled out of their ass, with not having the UFC license, was nothing short of phenomenal. I was so pumped to play as Fedor, or Manhoef, Nick Diaz, Couture, Cung Le, etc. I just found the gameplay a little shallow but hey it was their first attempt, and Undisputed 09 didn't exactly knock it out of the park either so maybe if they made a few more EA MMA games maybe they would have finally struck gold.

@@crimsontide1980 I think EA got better with their UFC games. They still ran into the problem with most people being similar, but they found a nice balance of universal moves and unique signatures.
