To my ears the best cymbals in the world! I’ve been playing them since 1997 when I got my first pair of hihats after literally doing a blindfold test of hihats in Wembley drum centre. I was young and didn’t know what to get with the money I saved up. So thankfully the shop assistant suggested doing a blindfold test and let my ears decide. There I am blindfolded in the shop as he swaps hihats of all brands on stands around for me, as I play them. One stood out head and shoulders above the rest…. I took my blindfold off and I saw the name Ufip… ? I’d never heard of them before that day… but I fell in love with them and have never bought anything else since! Now my ufip cymbal count stands at 31 and counting! LOVE ME SOME UFIPS!❤️

When I bought my first UFIP 4 years ago from Kev, he told me it would change the way I played drums. He was right. I would say to everyone out there - listen with your ears, not with your eyes...these are the most musical cymbals in the world. I played Zildjian professionally for 15 years, but in my opinion, the big names just don't compare.

I've tried a los of cymbal labels: Paiste, Zildjian, Sabian, Meinl, even Istanbul Agop; but Ufip is so perfect, versatile, powerful and musical; a very personal sound; my favorites!

Wow I’m blown away by the craftsmanship! I bought a UFIP hi-hat used for $300. I’ve known the seller for over 20 yrs and he told me they may be better than Zilgian and boy was he right! I don’t know what they are worth new but I’m more than satisfied!👍🏾👍🏽👍

My chosen cymbal brands were Sabian and Paiste Signatures and I could not fault them. One day I walked into RWJ in Perth Scotland and I had an epiphany! My entire perception of cymbals changed over the next hour and since that day, I have been proud to say that I play UFIPs exclusively. Until you have tried a selection of UFIPs, you have not explored the ultimate expression in cymbals!

Made the trip to PISTOIA, Italy a few years back to tour the factory and meet the folks that produce these fine cymbals. I was amazed by the detail they spend on weights and the difference in sound they're able to achieve by that. I've been a Class Series player for over ten years and find that the other brands may have more players, (budget dollars allocated to artists which we pay for at retail) and don't get me wrong the other brands are top of the line but these cymbals are INCREDIBLE. So go to a shop that supports the UFIP brand and listen to the UFIP difference.

Other messages to answer at Turtleman9008's comment: In that video, Kevin Ecosse didn't necessarily mean that Ufip are necessarily superior for everything in respect to cymbals of other brands, but he wanted to say that Ufip has a particular process of realization and that unlike to other cymbal brands, Ufip cymbals have a slightly more brilliant, more clear, more vivacious sound (or something like that)... and he's not wrong. It is true that Ufip cymbals unfortunately have the disadvantage of their greater fragility, I know it well... but despite this they really have an excellent sound (and surely also more approachable prices in comparison to other usual and more famous cymbal brands) even if they sound different than zildjian, meinl, sabian etc... Ufip have something personal, like an own imprint... and this makes them interesting. The only things that Ufip has to envy from other cymbal brands is only their greater notoriety, their greater and better publicity worldwide, their greater distribution worldwide, their easier availability in the most shops, their greater resistance, their national and international endorsers at a greater worldwide popularity level.... BUT... Ufip has not to envy their sound quality! P.S. I’m not an Ufip endorser, neither a merchant that sells Ufip products, neither an employee who is working or worked in Ufip’s company... I’m just a simple fan of some Ufip cymbals who has also played (and I also possess cymbals of other brands) and who knows what I’m talking about. I have written the message above only for my personal opinion and explanations.

I think its great that most drummers like to play the endorsed heavily advertised brand cymbals, because when I play live with my UFIP I always receive comments from fellow muso's about their sound. Teamed up with "SLEISHMAN" drums it really is a sweet sound.

I've played drums for 19 years, in myriad musical styles, and absolutely nothing comes close to the quality of UFIP. Cymbals provide colour, the dynamic and the nuance to your drumming, so that voice should be as clear and beautiful as possible. If you are looking for a set of cymbals to ENHANCE your playing go and see Kevin at The cymbal Centre in scotland, or give him a call. I guarantee you will find amazing service and your perfect sound - Simon Lees, Custom Drum Maker, SML Drums

Here in the U.S., we've primarily had Zildjians and Sabians to choose from. Both of which I have played extensively in my 48 years of drumming. However, I only played Zildjians and Sabians because I couldn't afford the luxury of UFIPs. I am glad to say that for the past five years I've played UFIP Experience Series hi-hats and several splashes along side my collection of AA/HH/HHX Sabians and I get more comments on the sound of my UFIPs more than any other cymbal. I'd play all UFIPs if I could!

Wow, I'm impressed. I really liked the Bell Ride shown in this Video. But in my opinion, all Splashes they had sounded like crap - where is the wash? A splash needs some splashiness, finesse (or else, why would I even use it)...these sound more like bells. Maybe they overdid it for the splashes with their pride for thicker bells. But as I thought about thin bells of my cymbals (I play Meinl Extra Drys and Darks) several times before knowing UFIP casts theirs, I would be really interested in something even more raw than their Natural series - maybe something completely hand hammered? Let's see what the future will bring. Definitely a good idea and I have no doubt about the quality of Italian manufacturing (how could you, after this video). Cheers!

5:26 is when the selling point actually comes across well! you should've went straight to that point after introducing the concept of rotocasting, because as an American I started to lose interest 3 minutes in... we are quite fickle, you see. also, too bad these aren't hand hammered. that would give it quite the edge when paired with the rotocasting.

Well.... UFIP:s arent common in Finland but there are couple of music stores which sell them. They arent popular but I would buy a full set of them if I had the money:) But the thing is I get Sabians 50% off through my drum teacher who has endorsement :) Ufips would be my number one preference but Sabians are just cheap for me :) And I dont have too much money to spend on cymbals.

You are in luck. They are hand hammered. Quote from Pinksterboer, "The Cymbal Book", p132: "...all professional UFiP cymbals fit the category hand hammered. After the initial hammering they are hammered by hand which takes about fifteen minutes for an 18" cymbal". I believe that the Class and Natural series get the most hand work.

I play UFIP - there is no cymbal like them, the effort to create sound is so minimal, you cant tell it from the video but go find a stockist and put a Zildjian or Sabian next to a UFIP - hit them one after another and you will be totally sold on why Rotocasting produces the purest cymbals rather than mass produces $2 cymbals sold at a premium.

The UFIP's sound very good, but I don't hear them sounded so much better than Paiste which is and always will be my cymbals of choice. And they're much more readily available in the USA, than UFIP's are. Not knocking UFIP at all, I'd play them, but I still think Paiste makes the best cymbals on the market. Can't go wrong with Paiste 2002's.....don't care what anyone says...

I gave you a thumbs up. I have Paiste 2002's on a $40,000 Pearl Session Masters kit. They are great. We have other kits too because we have two studios and go for different drum setups considering a song and what a dedicated and knowledgeable drummer might prefer. I just bought vintage UFiP 14" Hi-Hat M8's as an alternative for certain tracks.

Finest cymbals?? C'mon, it's a matter of taste.. on this video (ok, bad sound quality) the sounds are quite one dimensional and piercing. But, if someone likes it that way, perfect. To me, Istanbul Agops are the best cymbals and I have 25 pieces of them, from almost all the series
