Odd, I have a nursing patient newly diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. Still, she is not hallucinating, and she is not having any difficulty walking except when she is playing up her sorrow and anger at being institutionalized. She goes through spells of violence and is a risk to the nursing unit, yet they diagnose her with this somewhat incorrect set of behaviors. She is not seeing things. What she is doing is picking up loaded coffee pots and swinging them at the heads of all and sundry when her grievance reaches a boiling point.

Vision changes can also be the cause of believing you see something that's actually something else.

The illusions come at the beginning....hallucinations come after.....in my experience xxx

What do you think of donepezil as a medication? Is it safe for an 86 yr old? Xxx

Are there any studies with LBD? I am extremely interested in finding the right one for me. My dad passed away from LBD AND SPINAL MENINGITIS, he suffered for 8 months.
