Diana Pasulka is a religious studies professor at UNC Wilmington who has written three books: Heaven Can Wait, American Cosmic and Encounters (links below). The first was about Catholic purgatory and when Pasulka began documenting historical accounts of “divine” or “angelic” visitations in the Catholic tradition she started to notice commonalities among them and modern alien and UFO experiences. Thus began her documentation of the modern religious aspects of the UFO phenomenon along with her journey into classified secret aerospace work in the United States. Her book Encounters served to destigmatize “disclosure” as a global, transhistorical phenomenon that transcends our myopic western frame.
It was an honor and a privilege to have her on American Alchemy!
You can find Diana Pasulka's books here:

Encounters: a.co/d/56UXbUC
American Cosmic: a.co/d/9VCSbYo

For a deeper dive on UFOs, government disclosure, and the theories behind why these are kept secret, check out my full length documentary with UFO Whistleblower David Grusch here: • UFO Whistleblower Davi...
P.S. check out this very creative paper Dr. Pasulka wrote with Grad student Mark Burchick about the intersection of AI, religious studies and the phenomenon: protect-us.mimecast.com/s/4uG...

Dude.... such a underrated gem of a channel. Can't believe we are seeing this type of paradigm shift in real-time. The boundaries that will be broken in the way we interpret the universe in coming years blows my mind and you may be the one to make it go mainstream. Go hard Jesse!!! Humanity needs it.👊

@@williamrunner6718Hmm... But some of the most important discoveries in history have come from irrational thinking. Sometimes innovation and evolution requires standing back for just a second to look at things from a different perspective. As a very rational "scientific" person, this is something about myself I've had to try change because it's counter productive and ignorant.

I didn't see a single piece of Scripture in this video. Modernism will lead you to blasphemy and to Hell. It's black and white in Scripture that they bear no fruit. Matthew 7:18-20 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. They're not necessarily from another planet friend, you have to open your mind to the possibility of other "dimensions" etc. They're definitely not subject to the laws of physics here in our third dimension and have also displayed the ability to not be subject to, or at least have the ability to, manipulate time itself. Our senses posses such a short bandwidth we are capable of perceiving so very, very little. They could be from "somewhere" that's "adjacent" to us, nipping back and forth at will. Also friend, once the physical has been investigated a stable species would naturally move onto consciousness. It's truly fascinating stuff isn't it. It's beyond disappointing to me the way no one from the mainstream media, to the vast majority of our species, seems to be uninterested in the subject in any way as its a paradigm shifting singularity that literally changes everything. Fingers crossed it changes

There are no celestial neighbors. The connection between UFOs and religion is that the "aliens" are demons. It's not the other way around. Modern people have interpreted spiritual experiences as technical. It's not that ancient people identified UFOs as supernatural.

I majorly fell down the rabbit hole with the UAP stuff about 2 month ago, which has led to really deep questions about my own mortality, consciousness and etc.. was literally going about my life, and then one day it all just kind of clicked and something in me is changed.. suddenly the mainstream news isn’t very interesting, keeping up with the Kardashians doesn’t provide the escape it once did, and my family thinks I’m fucking nuts when I try to talk through what’s going on in my head with them.. shit is just different and it’s been weird AF and a little isolating. Your content has really helped me work through some of this stuff (as crazy as I’m sure that sounds to you.) Real talk, you are an absolute gangster. ❤ please keep doing your thing. slowly but surely the rest of the world will start to catch on, and they will need someone like you to help them make sense of it all too. 😊

I get a chilling vibe from that Pasulka woman. We have all these "credentialed academics" (eg the "SOL Foundation") promoting these preposterous UFO narratives which, if they contained even an ounce of truth, should have the entire population surrounding Lockheed Martin with pitchforks and nooses demanding answers. And it's not hard to guess at their motives. In the case of Pasulka, she has an interest in seeing how religious institutions and mythologies form, and apparently she has no ethical qualms with using her "scholarly clout" to lend credence to this harmful nonsense, just to see how well her bullshit theories apply to this new and emerging bullshit "UAP Gospel" religion. If true, this is absolutely sickening. Academics have a duty to advance humanity and make life better for their fellow man. But these psychopaths basically see their fellow humans in about the same light as Jane Goodall saw the chimps, only worse, insofar as at least Goodall wasn't surreptitiously gaslighting the chimps to extra destruction. Is it not bad enough that a significant portion of the population believes there's a cabal of politically dominant shape shifting lizard people who feed on children??? Do we really need a panel of top tier academics going on podcasts telling bullshit alien cover up stories to susceptible audiences??????? Sickening, I say! Pasulka is always careful to add the little caveat "Oh, as a religious studies prof, it's not my place to believe or disbelieve", or blah blah blah...but what does her Catholic faith inform her about deliberately harming people for personal gain? Though, I suppose that point's probably moot, given that she probably only ever converted just to get a more candid look at the "chimps"

Except when Jesse continually interrupts the guest and performs long speeches and soliloquies instead of asking a short question and letting the guest elaborate. I think he thinks he’s the guest and wants to show his guest how much he knows so in the end all she could say was “that’s an A plus Jesse!” As if he’s a good little student impressing his teacher… cause that’s how he comes across. Like a first year undergrad wanting to show everyone else how much he knows. Yawn.

@@BillHalliwell I agree with D. Pulsaka in happily believing J. Michels elaborations on her answers were expertly-formed; he gets an A+ from me too. It made it much easier for me to digest what Diana was referring to. Half of the video were packed with named references brilliantly overlayed without interrupting at all for the viewer to research the descriptions Diana gave. Absolutely genius!! I Stopped and looked up almost every one on my own time. Jesse's segways into next topics for her to expand upon in her interview made great flow sense. It's brilliant for a broader audience less learned as yourself, Bill, if you respectfully think beyond this recorded just for yourself and others at your specialist level. Jesse was not at all cluelessly quiet. Instead he formed educated connections, never unnecessarily critical, intrusive nor rude. Even on the darker history and conclusions they both stayed in their higher vibration and kept it light to veer clear of trepidations. I love humans like that. Well done Jesse. But I agree on that I want to hear more. Are we going to need to wait years to get Diana back on for another segment??

@Jesse Michels, I must say this is best discussion I have seen so far which covers science, religion and UFO. Greatly appreciate your effort to produce this interview with Diana. I have not personally read any of her books, but the concepts that she discusses are extremely amazing and thought-provoking. When she discusses about Tyler getting signals to come up with ideas and solutions, I instantly thought of the great Indian Mathematician Ramanujan who says he gets his (signals) solutions from Goddess Lakshmi, which maybe a similar case. I must say this was an excellent, well prepared discussion. Looking forward to more from you.

I really enjoyed this. I am a person who has learned that I have to cope with many perspectives to make sense of the world, myself and others. I can hold quite different collections of ideas that are mutually exclusive but coherent within their own context. Multiple UFO sightings smashed into my world views as personal proof once and for all that none of the human explanations I know about could ever be adequate descriptions of the experience of being. It his hard to explain to people that while I can discuss UFOs as real objects that I have seen as physical and 'scientifically objective' phenomena I cannot remove in my mind their intimate involvement in my mind as part of the paranormal and nuministic aspect of human consciousness and experience. I have interacted (terrified small child nothing deep) with Shadow people and I have seen a small child all dressed in white who appeared in a relative's home with poltergeist activity. I have also spent time as an engaged dialectical materialist as an approach to building community around change. Humans have choices not nature. In the matter of UFOs I follow the Farsight Remote Viewing project and I like to listen to Richard Dolan and his reaching for evidence based analysis. Wildly different approaches. The discussion above falls in an interesting place of taking a step back from such positions without claiming any dogmatic axe to grind. On the matter of Remote Viewing though, I noticed the reference to Ingo Swann, I would exhort people to find out for themselves by doing some training before making your mind up about it. The ability to touch any point in time and space as an inherent skill that every human consciousness possesses has to be worth checking out. No drugs, no trances, no channelling, but simply learning how to listen and how to observe. It was great to hear that someone else is articulating the idea that the problem with AI is not what it is or what it can do but what people invest in believing in what it is and what it can do. And as we know belief is the result of influence and is not inherent. It is taught and it is learned. Anyway thanks because I cannot have these sort of discussions with anyone in my circle - in real life or online.

A bit of a story, I'm 56 and a HS teacher. I saw an orb this year (2023), just a few months ago. The strange thing is, I was going through some life issues. I was frustrated and depressed. I have always believed in ET life and watch most videos, docs and news related to UAP's. I was watching different news and KZfaq videos on this day and just decided to give up. I just had this inner thought that I would never see anything like these other people have seen. I took my headphones off at my desktop, tossed them down and said ""God, why can't I ever see anything? Why Can't I see a sign, something, anything? I was really frustrated and that was it. "I then go outside on a cloudless day, but a very solid blue, hazy hot day - around midday. I open my garage and sit in my camping chair, I look up - down my driveway and down the street, and see an object coming towards me - 100m away veering slightly to my right, above my street - tree top level. I did not have my phone with me, I did not yell for my kids or family -they were in the house. The orb was dark, maybe 2-3 metres in diameter, when it was perpendicular to me 50-70 metres away, just above tree top level, the sun seemed to shine on it for 2 seconds - or it lit up on its own. I live in town (Taree, NSW Aust), no one was out, no cars, no one. It was as if time was frozen for me to see this. The orb was very silvery/metallic looking when perpendicular to me and lit up or the sun shone on it. Not smooth though. It had lines like it was built/a craft of some kind. It then went dark and flew consistently low and and over my neighbours houses - their backyards. I got a great look. I guess it was moving 15--20kph or slower. The weird thing is I was asking in my mind and out loud for myself to see something just a few minutes before. I was very frustrated at the time and had given up on EVER seeing any kind of sign. I saw something. It was not a weather balloon or a drone. Anyone else have an experience like this? My question is - How could it know? It was waiting there for me to look up and instantly see it. I have my own beliefs on this. I was not afraid at all, but in Awe that I was seeing a sign I had just 60 seconds before had asked/questioned to see a sign or something or anything. Is this harmful? Was this an angel, watcher, sign from God or a powerful ET? I am now on a much more straight and narrow path in life. I personally think Jesus heard/my Guardian Angels heard/my past relatives heard my frustration and answered me in a way that was strictly meant for me. My life has changed for the better. It was as real as you and I. Not blurry, not far away and just for me. This video is excellent. Diana Pasulka has shed light on my experience. Great interview.

This interview gets 100 stars. This is by far the most open and interesting conversation with the most multi disciplinary thought trains that I have seen so far. This opens the door for me to study much more about ancient mythology. I used to be bored by that in the past simply because it was overwhelming with information that didn't even dock onto anything I knew and I thought those texts were just fairy tales or blown up stories. I am getting an insight now throughout the last couple of years into this very cohesive past on Earth and puzzle pieces are coming together. Check out the work by Dr. Hinderk Emrich who came across a formation in the brain which he called The Discrimination Ribbon which actually filters out sensory information from our immediate surroundings. The things that you see when this formation in the brain is temporarily disabled, are for real.

From a "Raised super religious - Now agnostic" perspective, I have such huge respect for this young man. Amazing interview, fantastic guest, superb content and an impeccable host. These are the glimpses, through the veil, that I live for. There is absolutely something we, as a species, are waking up to. The only thing that bothers me is, " In the end times, knowledge will abound". Is this, THAT knowledge? This reawakening of old myths, purely because science has run its course and hit a wall. I've felt this in one way or another my whole life, we're part of something cosmic. Something so far outside our "list of memes" that we cannot even fathom the scale of it. There are no "end times".

@@batcollins3714 I'm inclined to agree. Hence agnostic. I'm not ready to be atheist but rather "undecided. This extends to the words contained in the modern versions of all the the old texts, of which, the Bible is but one. That said and apropos of my quote - "The end times" could, in my opinion, be a mistranslation. Perhaps somebody in linguistics can answer that for me. Either way, the abundance of knowledge we possess or can access, these days, is impressive but does it "abound"? Also why translate the first part to, "end times"? Is this just the end of an epoch, a galactic season/ Or did the author foresee something akin to an ele? Let's see if you can come up with something better than "there are no". Assumptions get us nowhere.

How so? There's not a shred of evidence to support any of this. It's like you and I having a conversation about leprechauns and unicorns.

Nuke test near Roswell- One of the most immediate health impacts of the Trinity test was a spike in infant deaths. In 1947, an alarmed health care provider in Roswell named Kathryn S. Behnke wrote to Stafford Warren, who was responsible for radiation safety during the Manhattan Project, to ask him if these deaths had any connection to the Trinity test.

I was taking screen shots the entire time! You are right though, so much good info here. Someone else I follow that has great resources is Paul Wallace.
