Choice Specs Elton John Well those were close games, at least he didnt get bodied, Nairo hasn't played a good pikachu in a while and Esam's brother mains ZsS so Esam knows the ZsS MU more than Nairo the Pikachu MU. i personally think that ZsS loses 55/45, is not as bad as Diddy... not even close. Good for Nairo getting top 8 again, he is on fire rn ._.

So I didn't realize it until this tournament, but Nairo plays with standard controls, not even a tag or anything. No attack stick, no R to jump, tap jump on, etc. Isn't that not optimal?

Ethan Schmidt depends on the character, zss does not need custom controls like fox and cloud with attack on c stick.

What's so funny is that Marss can defeat Esam with ease, but Nairo has lots of trouble with the Esam a lot, at least vs ZSS

Duc Hoang the last time they played which was at Genesis 3, Nairo went doc and was down 0-2 until he switched to ZSS and reversed 3-0'd ESAM.

Why won't nairo just play mario? Like I don't get it. He knows this is a losing MU for ZSS, and his mario is dope plus mario rekts pikachu.

I think he plays Doc, and his Doc lost to ESAM recently while he came back with the ZSS.

Doc Mario is a shitty choice versus ESAM's Pika pal. ZSS is a much better matchup.

yeah I was referring to his playing normal mario in the original post, not doc. I know he used doc before, but he should just use standard mario.

the thing why Bowser works on Zinoto and Mr E is partly because MU inexperience and partly because Nairo overall is just a way better player. Esam is on Nairo's level and Esam knows the Bowser MU, because he actually plays quite often against Lordmix in Florida, who is considered to be one of the best Bowser mains in the world

gameandflogchannel Also, even if the players skill is definitely different, his own brother has a great Bowser, and even more, a Bowser main I know Skynerd had mentioned taking some close friendlies against him. Simply put, I doubt Esam lacks any Bowser knowledge

Shrek0101 I think everyone would agree that Nairo is a better player currently but Esam has been doing almost as well. I prefer Nairo too but gotta give the guy credit
