I draw on inspiration from a very interesting article in the Washington Post (www.washingtonpost.com/graphi...) on disease simulations and implement something similar in Python with PyGame. how would you make the dots bounce off the walls / edges of screen?

When edge is reached, instead of setting the position to the opposite edge, reverse the velocity. Example; if a dot reaches x-position >= width, set x-velocity to minus x-velocity.
