He is speaking of the Euchorist. Which, like most of the Bible is blatantly misrepresented by most standards. Be truthful to your "heart", for the heart is deceptive. You're "heart" can be closely paralleled with "the sum of beliefs and understanding" and "the reaction one gives to a given situation".
