In #Ujjayi breath we constrict the passage of air at the base of the throat to create a light hissing sound, called Ujjayi. Ujjayi pranayama uses this technique for deep breathing practice

Suresh ji Namaste Can we do Ujjayi for alternate nostril breathing , some done said Naadi shodha should don’t be done in Ujjayi What are the side effects of it ?

I recommend releasing all bandhas before exhalation. Then you will be able to do ujjayi breathing.

Hello Ken, I am not sure how you can ensure ujjayi breathing all the time. As you know ujjayi breathing requires conscious awareness. However, if you practice ujjayi breathing as a pranayama practice more regularly, you can turn to ujjayi breaths more frequently during the day.

I keep the tongue in the normal, relaxed position. There are some teachers who recommend the tongue in the Khechari Mudra - that's a matter of personal choice.

Yes, you can do alternate nostril breathing using Ujjayi breaths. In fact I highly recommend it.

I want to read more about Ujjayi , can you plz guide me through. As some one said more ujjayi might tense your body . I used to box breathing for 30 minutes in Ujjayi follows by Chakra meditation where I experienced constant dilatation of pupils and some time engorged capillaries on sclera . Could constantly stare @ some object without blinking and experiencing dilatation .

@@drpallavisarjiuthkarsh5356 Ujjayi is a simple breathing technique. If done right, it can cause no strain and should not tense your body. For the problems related to dilation etc., you need to consult with the person from whom you learned that technique that you are practicing.

hello. the growl come out when i exhale. not at the first breath, after few. my throat got a bit sore. i have no tonsils. they came out when i was 10 years old. maybe that is why i end up growling.
