In clip 2 there is no excuse for what the car driver did but why did the lorry exit the roundabout into the outside lane before getting up to speed there's no excuse for that either.

I love how the cyclist in clip #7 has a hissy at the car driver when it was he driving at speed on the pavement, a speed at which he couldn't properly see and certainly couldn't quickly react.

@@davea.2311 it's not the overtaking lane it is lane two. I thought the same about why would he be trundling along in lane two, but further along you can see another roundabout, and perhaps the driver wanted to be over in enough time to be in the correct lane at the roundabout

As a person that cycles a lot, clip #7 was funny, because the way he crashed. He blames the stationary driver for deleting some of the the precious few remaining brain cells he had. That was Karma. I saw a similar crash where two youth on a Lime rental bike, crashed mounting the pavement. At least they saw the funny side! 😂

The Righthand lane on a dual carriage-way in the UK for overtaking ONLY once past the slower moving you are required to return to the left-hand lane and Not impede other road users, And brake-checking is a motoring offence, but also with dashcam footage get YOU, major re-insurance problems

I looked at this but you cant see the tailgating can you? We have to take the word of someone who get fined for his language. The car did overtake and this should be an offence in a built up area like this. The thing is 30 is not a suitable speed to go here although again I couldn’t see the signs. Just commonsense to drive very carefully in a very busy town centre with not very wide roads. No accident or harm to them or others but we see courtesy was missing on everyones parts.

@@jfryer485 You won't see signage for a 30 unless it is at a transition between speed limits, the presence of street lighting should be a give away and as for other limits like a 20 or a 40 there would be the presence of the small repeater speed limit signs on the street furniture so yes that was a 30

@@darreng745 Yes, it is the same in Europe too and the presence of lamps in the streets does mean town conditions and speed restrictions quite severe. As we see here we have the strange idea of a dual carriageway but with lamp posts and entrances to peoples houses every few yards. So it is easy to understand people going too fast compared to the speed limits imposed. I remember here being tailed by the police who obviously followed me to stop me and to adhere to the speed limits stop signs etc is not easy but they gave up and turned away. So here everyone goes normally at the maximum allowed. But to get upset with people adhering to speed correctly and think they are wrong and you have the right to go 40 faster is appalling arrogance. Nobody here comes out squeaky clean but thats normal driving sadly but as I say anticipation, courtesy and helping out people you think who are not doing things correctly just makes motoring more pleasant and less costly. I see here people just antagonising one another fortunately without accidents but just even more strained nerves

I'm normally inclined to be on the side of cyclist but in the case...riding (way too fast) and on the pavement and then get angry (very angry) at a car that isn't even moving. Because you hit something else and fell off.

1:00 The guy was probably going to turn right at the next roundabout but he got in the right lane way too early and then was going much below the speed limit forcing cars to undertake him which is just creating unnecessary risk.

i actually agree with this guy...HGV drivers dont own the road...he exited the roadabout into the right hand lane when there was absolutely nothing in the left lane. he should have exited into the left lane and then move over to the right when its clear. Its clear that the car made a fatal error, but seemed to me like it was out of retaliation... id say both were at fault for this

#7 - If the cyclist hadn’t been riding on the pavement, then he wouldn’t have crashed and damaged his bike ! It wasn’t the stationary car driver’s fault !

#7 Cyclist railing at the car as if it's the car's fault. Yes, the car's taking up a little pavement that he shouldn't be, but mate, riding at speed onto the pavement where there are railings and a lamp post in the way? You were asking for it and you got it. If you haven't the skill to negotiate that gap then you definitely haven't the skill to avoid any pedestrians you encounter on the pavement. Plus of course, you shouldn't ride on the pavement as it's illegal was well as dangerous and selfish.

As a cyclist of almost 50 years i would say that the moron in clip #7 got off very lightly. He was so close to an unpleasant meeting with those railings and if he had an ounce of intelligence he would see this as a valuable lesson.

No, he is not taking up the pavement. He is waiting to get out on the road. This is one of the unfortunate parts of a congested world. We cant always separate pedestrians from cars and other vehicles. Here we cant see if the cyclist has the right to be on a pavement designed for pedestrians or not. When a pedestrian sees this situation they would check that the driver sees them before passing. If a cyclist can use the pavement for security they need to be aware of them not harming pedestrians. At the speed he is going he is not capable of protecting himself. I would be afraid to be on the same pavement this maniac uses.

2:36 I've seen a Multi-vehicle RTA on the M62 created by a unsecured load out of a car trailer, the grass-box of a lawn mower missed me as I was a safe distance behind, But the chaos, that small piece of metal caused, was I now know, beleiveble, My vehicle was undamaged, But I was the witness to the cause of the RTA, I didn't get home that night because of WTD hours, waiting to give a statement at scene

6:08 I've seen a case where a driver for some reason apparently thought that there were two lanes in the same direction at a junction, when the other lane was in fact for opposite direction traffic. That might be what happened here. The road markings don't support that, of course, but people sometimes make strange mistakes.

I recently bought a yamaha 3 wheeler and was patiently waiting in a traffic queue with my daughter about a miles long to the Cotswold Wildlife park and I was sat there about 10 minutes watching bikes filter past and it suddenly hit me... I can do that I'm an a trike. So I drove along the line of traffic(roughly a mile) right into the park and up to the kiosk. I also got to park near the entrance to the park attractions as I was on a bike come trike lol. At least 4 people beeped at me as I filtered through. I just waved at em

First clip. After 40 years riding bikes on the road, more drivers tend to give room for us when filtering than they did back then. There's still a few hanging on their frustrations. Over time I've found it far better to let them wallow in it. If you know you're in the clear, skip the confrontation.

As a cyclist myself. I have two points firstly why on God's green earth was he on the path to start with as it isn't a cycle path and secondly why was he going so fast. Only person to blame for that is himself. The driver had done nothing wrong other than wait to pull out on to the main road where he should have been in the first place

Because the manoeuvre required him to do so. That's how HGVs turn. You can read all about it in the highway code, assuming you learnt how to drive. Why did he not immediately pull over to the left? Looks like a small, green car was driving up the inside.

LMAO. You're very funny aren't you? I suggest that you go and read the Highway code yourself if you think that exiting an island like that in a hgv is correct! What manoeuvre requires a hgv to exit and stay in the outside like that ? The green car obviously tried to prove a point by passing up the inside because of the position of the hgv leaving the island...... it wouldn't have been there on the island and the hgv should position himself better in the first point. If I were you, buy another cereal box, and try for a new licence but, as they say, there's no cure for stupid so you're screwed either way

1. the drivers in the lay by might want to pull out, it lowers risk 2. there could be cars (like the one that collided) in the first lane, meaning he couldnt move over

@@techheck3358 Except that the driver went way over to the left on the roundabout then left the roundabout going immediately in to lane 2 - if there were any vehicles behind they would have been cut up by the driver with the dashcam. You shouldn't move out into lane 2 past every lay-by and slip road. You may wish to do so in order to pass a joining vehicle but it shouldn't be the default.

@4:03 That is the funniest cycle clip I've seen in ages. Pity it was only his wheel and his ego that got buckled. Going way too fast, and on the pavement. Lucky there wasn't anyone the other side of that car for him to injure. And I love how he tries to blame the car coming out of the car park. What a plonker.

I know I’m getting old and grumpy but it seems to me that several bad driving habits have become more and more common - no lane discipline. Unless you are overtaking or about to turn right, use the near side land. It’s not an affront to your machismo (male and female) - use indicators. Every lane change or turn should be notified in advance by the use of an indicator - don’t block roundabouts. You may be in a hurry but you are jamming up dozens of other cars - observe speed limits. They are a limit and not a target. You might save 30 seconds by speeding through a town or village - or you might kill someone. - if there is a parked car or similar on your side of the road, the traffic coming towards you has the right of way. Don’t just pull out in a dumb game of dare Most of these seem to happen in “rush hours”. Try setting off 5 minutes earlier and you won’t need to do any of these.

The only way you can't possibly know the speed limit of any one area or section of road is if you can't read, plain and simple. It's on your gps, even if you aren't using it for directions it still will display the speed limit AND how fast you are driving. Google maps and waze both, are free, and display both posted and your actual speed. So between the signs on the road and what is on the GPS, the only way you don't know if is you can't read. And if you are that illiterate you shouldn't be driving. It's a danger to yourself and everyone else.... And dyslexia is not even remotely close to what I'm saying. I'm saying plain and simply unable to read.

I'm not disputing that a driver should always know the speed limit and can't use the excuse of not knowing. However your example is awful, not everyone has a car with gps capabalities or even neccesarily a screen, not everyone has a phone dock, even if they do have either of these not everyone has their screen/phone on maps all the time.

Your car doesn't need gps, it comes built into the phone for free, and being it's a hands free country and the phone docking stations are incredibly cheap there is no excuse. None. But aside from that, people aren't capable of reading the speed limit signs and paintings on the road????? Smh

#1, driver can not complain, you are not supposed to stop in the area around a roundabout, it is classed as causing an obstruction, preventing the free flow of traffic.

Cyclists remember that a indelible marker pen allows you to write T##t on any car or van that close passes and you then catch up with. I always carry one.

7:15 I actually checked on Google Maps and there are no signs or anything else to indicate that it's a 20 zone. Maybe I'm wrong but even getting onto normal town roads, there wasn't a change up to 30 anywhere and these are normal 30 roads. The driver wasn't right to tailgate but I think the motorcyclist was wrong also.

Google hasn't been down the latter half of that route for a decade. You can see the 20 zone ending sign at the lights in the clip, and if you follow Bourne Avenue back around the bend, you'll see that it's 20 from just past the A338 flyover. The markings aren't fantastic but I find it hard to believe people wouldn't notice them, or the speed bumps, or the raised crossings..

@@Monkeh616 You're absolutely right. The section where the car passed has streetview from 2020, but at the traffic lights it's from 2012. I didn't notice the 30 signs in the clip and they weren't there in 2012. Thank you for pointing this out!

Motor cyclist generally break the speed limits, they weave in and out of traffic and then if a motorist happens to get in their way they then have the time to berate the motorist for a minor mistake. Cyclist do the same and don't take any responsibility for their own actions and lack of observation and courtesy!

4.30 What is it some cyclists, he is travelling at speed on the path he can see there is a car partly blocking it, yet instead of slowing down tries to pass it and hits the railings, he is obviously a local so would know they were there then blames the driver for waiting to get out, what a fool he is it was all his own fault, he should be fined for cycling on the path at speed.

6:30 That's Avenue Rd, Bournemouth. I can't see a single 20mph speed limit sign along that road. The moped rider was wrong and the car driver was right to think it's a 30mph road.

Knowing what the speed "limit" is, drivers and other roads users have an expectation that people will adhere to it when the conditions are clear and there are no hazards. Driving at one third below the speed limit, and being wrong about the speed limit, shows their skill is lacking and they should in fact not be on the road. They are wilfully and negligently holding up traffic which is just as unlawful as speeding.

One of the reasons, I as an Ex-Class 1 LGV driver have started to watch this Crazy video game, Playout on my TV screen, instead of before my eyes, I start to wonder, But for my instinctive reactions, to peripheral vision, and a Males hunting instincts, How many lives could have been different, right now, Road deaths in the UK were dropping, With people now Driving with undue care and attention as a everyday thing, I guess you young guys, Like i did think I would live forever, Shame innit
