That's obviously a 'crash for cash' instance... see, the car hit wasn't completely within their lane, that's why they clipped the part that wasn't and only that part.

It's "road rage". See, to successfully pull off the "insurance scam", you have to do it where it's rural and NO other traffic or pedestrians who can be potential witnesses. Brake checks are road rage, not insurance scams.

Could be but by default it means that the person behind was driving too close to stop in time which makes it very difficult to persuade the insurance otherwise

@@Liberty_Freedom_Brotherhood I mean the human brain takes a few seconds to pass the instruction to slam on the brakes to the foot so a few seconds is all you need to plow into the back of someone who's braked for absolutely no reason. Its unexpected so reactions will usually be a little slow

Glad you included the one at 2:26. Might be minor to some, especially to those who regularly try to mow down pedestrians on crossings - but it's not. Ignoring Pelican crossings is against the law (Act of Parliament) and very dangerous.

0:10 that Mini driver should lose their licence and be made to pay for all damages for that shit, but in reality in most scenarios the insurance company will see her as the victim and she'll get a nice little payout, hopefully with the video evidence that was not the case.

+Nastypsychoboy She should yes but wasn't helped by the car behind being so close, even in dry conditions you should leave a 2 second gap between cars, double that in wet, if there was a legit reason (rather than a cash for crash brake test like this) for the mini to brake (like a kid running out) the driver behind would have no defence.

Gobtik Yeah ok if there was a legit reason there would be no defence but the Mini didn't just brake check they stopped. Even with a 2 second gap travelling at 30 if the car in front just stops, when there is no obvious reason to, I think most of the time unless the driver has good reactions then there will be a crash. There are some bloody idiots out there.

Nastypsychoboy Stopping distance at 30 is 23m (assuming it is 30 as it has the lights, single carriage way in suburbs) - 9m for reaction time, 14m for braking + you can double that in the rain - now these are old figures that the DVLA uses that aren't reliable now with modern braking so 2 seconds should be more than enough. In 2 seconds at 30mph you travel 13.5m - so with a 2 second gap you should have enough time to brake even allowing for a sudden stop - she was less than 1 second behind though so had no chance. Don't get me wrong the mini should be prosecuted for driving without due care and attention for brake checking / staging a crash but a bigger gap would have been safer and could have given time to react or steer around

Yes I am aware of stopping distances, reaction times, road conditions, their age and relevance to modern day vehicles, and I don't sit up peoples asses when I drive for obvious reasons, but in reality rarely does anyone leave a 2 second gap while driving, usually if there's a big gap in front of you someone will try and put themselves in it. I'm just saying if you are on a clear road leaving a 2 second gap and the car in front of you just stops I think its most likely that there will be a crash. Yes they could have left a bigger gap and will have learnt the hard and expensive way but that Mini driver should have be prosecuted for dangerous driving. tata

I gave up driving in 2009 and I don't miss it at all. I had incidents like some of these almost on a daily basis. After watching a few of these videos I am glad the car has gone and I can sit back and have a good laugh at these superb clips. Thanks.

While brake checker's are vile humans who deserve to get spinal injuries that force them to use a wheelchair for the rest of their lives (harsh but fair), it should be a lesson to everyone else, just stay the fuck back and stop tailgating.

I see a lot of comments saying about the mini being the sole person at fault in that particular crash. And yes, they will most likely be prosecuted for driving without due care and attention and possibly staging an accident for insurance fruad, the car with the camera is also at fault here. For the speed they're at, the distance between the cars is far too short. This is technically tailgating, and is nowhere near the required 2 seconds by the highway code. That 2 second gap is supposed to eliminate the distance gained by thinking time to allow you to stop even of the person in front has pulled an emergency stop. These sorts of things don't happen if you leave correct braking distance. And the eyes of the law may not favour you entirely because of this.

can someone explain to me the multilaned roundabouts? In germany we only have one lane in roundabouts. How do you manage to get from the inner lane to your exit? Do you switch lanes carefully and might have to take an extra loop to get there? I would be a bad driver too so please help me if I ever do a vacation in GB :)

I've been on the road for almost a year and thankfully had no incidents but in my travels when I've been cut up, pulled out on or had the shit scared out of me by having to slam the brakes on and 8 out of 10 times it's been a fucking Audi that is the problem. I need to start reviewing my footage and submit some.
