Good day... I am glad I found your channel today... So please I have few questions to ask 1. In my current place of work, I multitask and do a lot of work... Like I work as a Front Desk Officer, at times I work in the typing pool and I also work as a marketer... So my question is..which of these should I include In my cv cause its a diagnostic center and we deal with patients... So its basically related to health. 2. I want to volunteer in a hospital but I don't know how long I should do that for. 3. My course of study is not in any way related to health (I studied geography) do you think taking onlinw courses will boost my cv? 4. I have experience in taking care of my aged grandma before she passed... She was over 100years so we had to strt feeding, bathing and cleaning her up at a point... Do you think I should include that in my cv? And how do I inculcate it there. 5. I am a Baptist and we have some organizations in the chrch where we visit our members and help them do chores especially the aged ones... Do you think I can also include this? 5. When do you think I should get my naric ready? The universities here in Nigeria are currently on strike and I have to get my transcript to apply for the naric thing... What do you advise I do? Sorry for the questions 😔

If all you've done so far is physiotherapy, stick to it! Physiotherapy is your training and the learning & skills from physio are transferrable to the HCA work

I have completed the 15 standards of care certificate on Florence Academy but I do not have a professional experience in care job but I have taken care of two grandparents, I took care of my mum when she had her surgeries and still taking care of her now. Yes, your current job first but just mention it in few lines while you elaborate on your previous experience. Also, make sure to include in your professional profile that you have a previous health experience and hoping for a career change

You are most welcome. This is what I will say; there are lots of the customer service skills that are useful as a care assistant. Therefore, it's ok to include your customer service and if you have any caring experience, kindly wrap everything into your profile. I hope this helps?

This is also what I need to know... I personally cared for my grandma for months before she passed... She came down from the village to stay with us... She was really aged.. Over 100 so all those poo stuff and all I and my mum took care of them.. I don't knw how to write it in my cv too.

I've been adjusting my Cv on ATS style and submitted several times to Helping Hands Care home website for example, but I haven't made any success on their Care home. They keep on saying that there are other people that have what they seek that I'm lacking..

You can simply make it a black colour, times new roman/calibri, size 12. Is that ok?

If not asterisked as important, you can leave it out. Otherwise, you might want to enter your local zipcode. Zipcode of any area can be gotten by asking Google.

Pharmacy is a good training, please, don't dump it! You simply have to include in your profile that you like caring & that's the reason for a career change (which you & I know is temporary 😆)

The Govt has said that the visa for CARE ASSISTANT is open for 1 year then it will be reviewed for continuity or otherwise

Hi, you do NOT have to lie on you. Just write it as it is. A lot of people change careers. That is what you have done by switching to accountancy and now you are thing of switching back to caring.

If they specifically ask for your qualifications or degrees, you still have to present your accounting degree

Please I already have HND in Dental therapy/Hygiene,...have worked in the hospital for o we 7years please do you think I still need the care certificate?... Moreso, regarding my CV...the area they put healthcare assistant even though I am a dental practioner buh most of my job roles fit into a healthcare assistant can I input healthcare assistant as my job role instead of Dental therapist or hygienist?.. Yes, you can put Healthcare Assistant as that is your role. The dental tech was only your training. Regarding getting trained on the care certificate standards or not, I will advise that you do at least to understand the UK care framework

Your experience as a support worker is great! The other stuff should only be included if it gives you an edge over other candidates. To make it clear, a cooking skill & training might be great for a position of a live-in carer, support worker if it involves preparing meals

For the Care cert, please note how I framed everything into one in that video. On how to write your experience, about 1 year might be more appropriate

It's ok to.maintain that you are a Nurse. Nursing is more senior to HCAs. You are literally a Nurse temporarily switching your career to that of an HCA. YOU NEED TO APPLY FOR SENIOR CARER AND NOT EVEN HCAs because you are more qualified
