Insurance amount depends on the number of years you held your Sri Lanka license/UK license, the other risk factors, your job etc. If you have held your Sri Lankan license for some time, your initial insurance premium will be a little lower. But when you get the UK license and update this in your insurance policy the premium becomes a little higher than before since your UK license is still new. They say that the premium reduces when your UK license gets older and if you have a good driving history.
