Its not the actual deportation to Rwanda that is the big deal, its the threat to stop them settling into the UK - it works for Australia and Israel so why not the UK. Stopping immigration window shopping.

If France is so concerned it could stop it immediately by banning large dinghies along this coastline. Or maybe have effective policing to destroy the dinghies before they set sail, instead of the police saying they were outnumbered (they are armed?) so they just watch the dinghies sail off. Maybe if France didn't encourage migrants to cross the most dangerous and busy straight in the world beside the Strait of Malacca, while also denying that they have a migrant problem, this wouldn't be happening.

There is a huge difference between refugees from war torn Ukraine and economic migrants who have travelled through several countries that are not at war. If they are refugees then why are they sleeping in roadside camps in France. The French government has received tens of millions of £s from the British government yet still allow people smugglers to operate openly within its borders. Australia enacted a similar policy by sending illegals to New Guinea etc. that policy has reduced the attempts of entry to just a handful.

This is the best news as we do not know who is coming into the country whether they are criminals or terrorists. These are all young people who some call themselves minors when they are over 25 years old. It would be easier and less expensive to send these economic migrants to Rwanda offshore than to process them in uk which we can help those who are genuine.

Glad to hear that they are doing something about illegal immigration. If someone really running away from home country because of threat to their life then they will be happy to escape and to live anywhere in the world than being selective where to live. If I was trying to runaway from the country due to political or military treats then I would not be picky on where to go, I would look for whatever easier option and start a new life there.

Poland toke over 2 million refugees as an urgency, majority of these Ukrainians will return back to Ukraine after the situation normalizes. But UK has received over one million Polish migrants which will not return back to Poland .

It actually makes more economic sense as Rwanda can use these migrants to help develop their economy (hence Rwanda wants these people). The only people outraged over this are those with agenda's that go way beyond migration. The issue is a practical one though. The UK is a tiny island and England is already the most population country in Europe in terms of people per square feet. it's now the third in the world. There's just isn't the room here. There's not enough houses for the population as it is not to mention the stress it puts on infrastructure like schools and the NHS. The UK is already close to it's peak in terms of it's population. People can get as emotional as they want, the reality is that future migration is going to have to go elsewhere.
