Just to add on, being a doctor myself. You don’t pay for any emergency services even if on visitor visa but the day you shifted to ward yes you have to pay so better to take travel medical insurance as described in the video. Well done guys a good video

Nice video but just to clarify the prescription charge is per item not prescription. If you have more than one item on one presciption you will pay the charge for each item.

What happened to your indian health insurances?? did you do any before coming to the uk? Also what kind of medical procedures do you still leave for India? I have heard nris get tooth extractions in India because its cheaper or quicker. Maybe I heard this from a usa based NRI. Thanks for the video and your efforts.

(Based on your experience) 2) how do they handle emergency if appointment may not be given quickly ? ( Because unlike India, one can't buy medicine from pharmacy without prescription) 3) For more information, what are the important links to refer. Pl share. Usually if you call at GP in the morning at 8 am and ask for the same day app.. you should be able to get. If not they ask you to call in the afternoon again or next morning. As mentioned in the video, in emergencies you can go to A&E section of your nearest hospital without appointment. For links go to NHS website or check video description
