Lady Rose is a senior British judge currently sitting as a Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom. Having studied at Newnham College Cambridge, followed by a postgraduate degree at Brasenose College, Oxford, she was called to the bar in 1984 and she later became a judge, sitting on the High Court from 2013, and being appointed to the Court of Appeal in 2019. In 2021, Lady Rose was nominated to be a Justice of the Supreme Court and was raised to the peerage. Her most notable judicial decision involved Singularis Holdings Limited and Daiwa Capital Markets Europe Limited in relation to a breach of the Quincecare duty.

An excellent speech. A remarkable person. I would have enjoyed more questions from the floor. All of that wealth of experience and most of the questions were diversity based... so much more to law than that. A wasted opportunity.

As an attorney in the United States, I'm always interested in comparing legal systems and, of course, the UK and US in particular have many similarities as countries who are largely based on the common law. I enjoyed this talk and learned some new things as well. Despite having an established system and many good technical lawyers, our legal system seems to be in some real peril at this point in time. I certainly hope the UK is in better shape.

But at the same time uk have very clear laws for republicanism, high trahison and oaths of services as other empire parts have too and if i remember elisabeth I stated very clearly that the feets cant be allowed to direct the head as in which case the outcome would be evident and worsen through time

The host can barely speak. You can see how the standards in our ‘elite education’ institutions have drooped. Peter Hitchens is spot on. All they seem to talk about is diversity and race and gender and victim hood instead of interviewing the lady on her long experience on cases ect
