Жыл бұрынJoin us in today's van life UK travel vlog for one last adventure before we hopefully cross the channel and head south to escape the gloomy weather after spending the last couple of months here. We're waiting around for some parts to do some work on our little old campervan before the long journey south and today our van life adventures take us closer to home as we explore the local area where Nick grew up. We're in the little village of Kinver in Staffordshire, famous for rock houses, caves and so much more, we really didn't expect to find what we did here...

Charlie is hilarious with his dancing and prancing trying to get some reaction from Diz who just looks on with disinterest. I love to see them so happy. We are so privileged to lead this way of life, and I'm really grateful for all of the fab places you find to share with us. Good luck with all the van stuff. xx

I remember the rock houses and Kinver Edge very well, but when I was young the Rock Houses were free and untouched. I spent most weekends there when I was a child exploring the Edge. I can remember going up to the Rock houses when we had quite a heavy snow fall. Quite dangerous but great fun. I really must go back and explore that area again in our Motorhome as now have lived in Southampton for the last 30 years. Thank you for bringing back lovely memories Nic and Sarah.

There’s a guy in the Malvern Hills who bought and converted one of these caves into a stunning modern home. Grand designs did a programme on it, very interesting conversion. Great episode guys, really enjoying your adventures.

The best video of the UK series. I think the writer Catherine Cookson wrote a novel where for a time her protagonist and her siblings stayed in such caves. I read the book long ago. I don't even know if the present generation has heard of Ms. Cookson.

Well you have solved a mystery for me. When I was a youngster I lived in Kidderminster and remembered going and seeing some rock houses, they were abandoned at that time but remember they still had some odd bits of furniture in but could never remember where they were. So thanks for solving that

Oh my gosh, again, the UK is so beautiful!! What a great place and it's so fun to see the doggies playing. Interesting about the CBD oil. I've been doing research for myself for arthritis and it's so overwhelming. Haven't a clue what to start off with. But anyway, thanks for another enjoyable video. Hi you two Glad you decided on the CBD oil I have a rescue collie who had seizures every week Tried the oil and now he has a seizure less than 1 every few months It absolutely worked for him I’m sure Charlie will benefit

The paw wash pots come in different sizes, a small one would be better for their small feet and also use less water. Also find it easier if they're stood on the ground when washing.

its a lovely area around Kinver,Cookley and Wolverley, we stay on the camping and caravan club site at Wolverley, and so close to Birmingham and other big towns,all the best guys.

So lovely to see the doggies having so much fun and that Charlie is doing well. Check you can take the CBD oil with you when you head south. What a beautiful interesting place you found! My husband and I always get lost in the woods and one time took us 2 hours to find our way out 😂💟

Hi there. Love your videos. The next time you are in the UK. When visiting Kinver. There is a quieter parking place. On the other side of Kinver Edge. I've overnighted there a few times. It is a nice walk into the village and the Ironage Fort and War Memorial. It is the farm shop and cafê on Sandy Lane. Kinver. DY7 6HX. Still National Trust, free parking. Very quiet at night, compared to the side you parked up. Happy travels. 🤗💗🙏

Great video. Ah Mad dog 20 20 - it was the green one that was my downfall, used to make you look like the exorcist when you puked!! Loving those cave houses, we’ll be checking those out. Kinver and Kinver Edge are great, though the locals can be a bit up themselves, Mt mate used to live in Kinver, we had the police called on us after a stag night pub crawl, just for hanging around outside a closed Indian restaurant. Luckily the cops gave us a lift home as the taxis were sparse, amd they wanted us out of the way and back in Stourbridge.

You’re definitely not alone, I often get lost out walking with my dogs - once was lost for 4hrs! 😂.. Those are often the best walks, it’s exploring really, not being lost 😉. No way you went to Kinver Edge! About 10 mins from my childhood home. Every time I travel home from the states this place is almost a daily walk for me. One of my fave places. Dang too bad I wasn’t home in January. Just imagine bumping into you on Kinver Edge! Well Bon voyage and all the best for humans and doggies ❤. And thanks for glimpses of home, makes my heart sing and can’t wait to get back there. So many memories from my childhood here. Kinver is a darling village too!

It seemed to clean his feet pretty well but it also seemed to need a lot of water. I didn’t think about that and the fact you are limited with water! Maybe save it for the really muddy days! I loved seeing the two of them playing after the seizures in the last video. Love your videos! I so enjoy the two of you and the boys! That place you went was pretty cool. Those cave houses were so beautiful. Such a pity they were closed and you couldn't get in. Would have loved to see how they look inside. Granny's rock/cave houses were great too. My imagination goes wild trying imagine how it used to be when people lived there. The feeling is quite mysterious I must say. Glad you eventually found them. MD 20/20 brings back many memories! some of which i'd rather forget and quiet a few blank spots where i was told i had a good time! One memory in particular, heading into a wine shop to pick some up for a party at the weekend. looking around i couldn't see what i wanted. As if by magic a sales man appeared,, as they do! Told him what i was after and he looked down his nose "Sir we are a quality wine merchants, We don't sell drinks that go by the nick name of Mad Dog", Well that told me! Ha ha ha!

Hey lovelies, I'm so glad to see darling Charlie running around and being himself again! Such a relief I'm sure! Sarah, I totally get the puffing and huffing up big hills when you've been dormant for a period. It won't take you long to get into your stride again. It was a lovely to watch you all walking in that really nice forest, and it was great you found those caves down a tricky 'path.' I seem to often find myself lost when I walk in the country, lack of signage doesn't help! I've also had to navigate a few tricky 'paths' to find my way. Part of the adventure I'm sure you'd agree. xoxo

What a stunning area. I’d not really considered the Black Country as a place to visit but now it’s on my ever growing list. Glad little Charlie is doing well. Love seeing those little dogs running around having fun. 20/20 yuck. That’s nasty stuff but I also got very drunk on it and fell asleep in a field. New tap for Vinster, looking good. Cool cave houses, pity ye didn't get to go inside them. I thought it was so funny how indignant the black dog looked when he had his jacket on and the other dog was teasing him. The wouldn't play fight until the jacket was off. They are such funny little animals..... What joy a new tap can bring ! Safe travels and hopefully your mechanical worries are well behind you.

I love the way Charlie and Dizzee play 🥰 Just a word of caution guys, you should always go out prepared when hiking. So many rescues in our area are people who said they didn't take anything as it was only a short hike. Always take a small pack with water, food, first aid emergency kit, etc. We just had a young lady go out for a short hike with just light clothing and hiking poles, unfortunately the weather turned and they have not found her yet. Not trying to be a doom and gloomer, just want you to be safe 🥰

Brilliant video, interesting area too, put it on my bucket list, so happy to see woofies enjoying themselves, winter has arrived recently in Almeria, cold nights although not like UK cold. Sun still beaming in the daytime. Enjoy your last week in UK xx
