😀 A BIT ABOUT US:
We’re Marianne & Chris, a happily married couple from the UK. Marianne is a living kidney donor to her best friend, and realising that life was for living and never really knowing what’s round the corner - we decided to fulfil our dream of travelling full time.
So in March 2018 after the kids had left home, we sold our belongings, rented our house and moved into our campervan called Trudy. We set off to see the world and after vanlifing around Ireland and Europe, we grabbed our backpacks and spent 5 months exploring Central America.
Feeling like we needed a challenge, we planned the ultimate van life adventure! In Jan 2020 set off to drive around the World from UK to UK. But after arriving in Turkey, covid caught up with us and closed the borders, so we had a wonderful 18 months exploring this special country. Realising we were not going to be able to head further East, we decided to do a handbrake turn and go the other way and shipped our van to the USA.
We hope you enjoy coming with us, and we’ll continue to share our real adventures and hope you feel inspire to step out of your comfort zone and try something new.

I just love watching you tour cities here, I like the perspective of someone from another country. I sure need to get out there and see more of my world right here in the U.S. As I get older it feels like there is too much to see in very little time. Keep traveling you two and keep enjoying life and where it takes you.....and thanks for taking us along for the ride!

I just love how positive you guys are. Thank you for saying nice things about America. We get so much hate around the world that it is nice to see people from other places enjoying our beautiful Country. I can’t wait to see your reaction when you get to the most impressive parts, ie. the natural beauty of America. the national parks, the deserts, the mountains etc. Thanks for sharing your journey!

Hi From Washington State, went to Turkey last summer for a month. So I've been following you for a year. Love your great travel mojo. Nice to see New Orleans on your travels. Been there 50 years ago and you're right it is a crazy place, Night life was crazier. Good you past on the Florida Keys. Just one main road to Key West. Stayed on Key Largo and took 20 minutes to cross the street back then. Safe travels.

Wow again ambassadors This video was just fabulous and I can see how happy you guys are, happiness is exuding from your faces😋😋 I am happy for you. What I have noticed is that you simply visited all of the important locations. Did you guys ran into " Street Cars-Trolleys" there. Fun to travel in one of those guys also. Superdome for Saints football team at where the Catrina survivors were housed for a Quite while. Went to Tulane Univ. there for one year. Marianne your dancing with the music on Bourbon St dancing was awesome 😂😂 This was a great video really!👍👍👍 I have Haitian friend who told me about their Woodo practices in Haiti. It seems that real. New Orleans is very historical place. I enjoyed the video very much. Also, in Turkey I got my nephews to subscribe and only one of my nephew subscribed in 3 different accounts and he spread the word around his friends. I am glad he did. Now, my family in Turkey is also your fans. EVERYONE LOVES YOU. TODOS PERSONAS IN EL DEL MUNDO GUSTO USTEDES! I do not know Spanish but roughly that is " everyone in the world lives you". Spanish followers please excuse my Spanish here. Love you very much guys.💕💕💕💕🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷be safe!

This is a perfect overview of New Orleans. I especially liked the museum where you could capture some of the joy of Mardi Gras. I took the paddle boat ride last time I was there and it was so calm and interesting as New Orleans is a major port. I also went out to see some of the damage from Katrina (I visited last shortly after Katrina on a volunteer basis to help out.). I’m so glad Trudy got her moment on Bourbon street. See you next time.

You might enjoy a ride on a paddle wheel steam boat. Some along the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers are river boat casinos , and once in a while they'll give free rides. Did that myself many years ago. You'll have another chance if you visit Oregon , along the Columbia River. But that's not a casino boat, so it wouldn't be free.

I visited Marie Laveau's shop many years ago when I was a practicing trial lawyer. I bought a voodoo kit there called "Other Lawyer Be Stupid." I never opened it. But I took it to court with me all the time and put it on counsel table. I used it to distract my opposing counsel. I used to see my adversaries looking over at my table, spotting the voodoo kit and its prominent label, then getting odd looks on their faces. So I guess it worked. I was pretty successful.

It's too bad the queue at Cafe du Monde was so long. It's prices are very reasonable. With tax, less than $2 for a plate of 3 beignets. Cafe au lait and hot chocolate are the same price, around $1.80ish. We ordered 3 servings (9 beignets), one cafe au lait, and a medium sprite, total bill was $10, plus tip. Since it is open 24/7, you can go anytime.

Thank you so much for all your shared travel vlog updates.. If you are heading West towards TX, check out the Natural State of Arkansas, where you can dig for Diamonds (Diamond State Park) and dig for Quartz Crystals I'm Mt Ida or Jessiville Coleman Mines!!💚 Take a stroll down Hot Bath House Row (Street + Gangster Museum - Al Capone) and Collect Hot Natural Springs Water in National Parks City of Hot Springs AR. You are welcome to my town. Suggestion Gas Pump using any CC or especially debit card , always go inside to pay for gas. Never use debit cards at the pump. Most will put a 12 to 24 hr. hold use on cards at pump, blocking any further purchases, similar to Hotel holds on charges. Also sadly, some Gas Pump will add hidden charges on to your tab, while 24 hr hold /block on card. This fraud scam has happened in different states. Always ask for receipts for inside purchases when using your CC/ debit card. Keep your debit card purchases safe.😊💛😊🇺🇸

12 hours being a massive drive is a very good example of differing cultural perspectives. I don’t see 12 hours being a long drive at all, more of a day trip. I realize more and more that thinking nothing of a 12+ hour drive is uniquely American.

It is not unusual to put on more weight while in the US. The food is honestly great, but too much. BTW, I am sorry you had to miss Key West.
