I like the look of these V2s, but that lack of finger protection is putting me off. I never carry the Boker Wasabi for this reason.

I hardness tested this and it was soft as cheese which was really disappointing. Around 57-58 hrc

How do you flick this open and closed so easily? I just got this as my first knife and it feels like the slip joint is very strong. I have to use an immense force and it only slightly opens the blade. I basically have to open it with two hands. Closing is also extremely difficult. Am I something wrong?

Unlikely your fault, sounds like either the pivot is too tight or there are perhaps rough edges on the blade where the detent rests, how is it to open with two hands?

It's fine to open with two hands. Not too loose, not too hard.

@@lornelorne5727 hmm, which way are you pushing on the thumb stud? Directly up on the stud or out 90 degrees from the handle?

I've tried every way I can think of. Pushing up on it does nothing. Pushing out 90 degrees works but only after extreme force which slices up my thumb on the sharp stud, and even then it only opens up slightly, not all the way.
