There was a mass attack of at least five drones on an oil facility in Kalach-on-Don in the Volgograd region.
Ukraine’s counterattack comes after Russian strikes killed a total of 38 - including four children - and wounded over 170.

As I understand it, it's due to the conditions the US (and possibly others?) has set on how the weapons/ ammunition that they supply to Ukraine can be used. The rationale is to avoid giving Putin and his cronies the opportunity to characterise the war as American and/or Western and/or NATO-led aggression - which they already do, but with scant, non-existent, or false evidence.. Such an 'aggression' would give Putin the pretext he would need in order to justify (to his audience at home, and to Russia's allies) an escalation of the war, including the possibility of nuclear engagement with Ukraine or other neighbouring countries. Under the US conditions, if Ukraine were to go into full-on attack mode towards Russia, their supply of weaponry would likely be cut off, making such a move counterproductive.

The Russian Defence Ministry would like to reassure the public that no oil facilities were hit by Ukrainian drones and all drones were shot down harmlessly. However, owing to one or two carelessly discarded cigarettes in several oil facilities across the country there were one or two small fires which were easily extinguished with the help of normal fire extinguishers, as can be seen in these videos.

At least Ukraine hit a "legitimate target", unlike Russia!! I feel sorry for the innocent civilians on both sides, because they're the ones getting hurt or killed. But Russia saying they only attack military targets, after bombing a children's hospital are the lowest of the low. The hospital in questions a well known hospital, so Russia knew what was there!! They've now said it was Ukraine's counter attack that destroyed the hospital! Peskov, Lavrov and Putin have memorised the script well! Slava Ukraini

@@command_unit7792 be more creative. first there was some military target INSIDE the hospital. then it was a ukrainian patriot missile. once that was debunked it suddenly was an AMRAAM missile. and since that also doesn't stick to people due to it simply being impossible, we are now back in the loop with a military target. you now what will stick though? the pure HATE against russia and it will last for many, many decades.

this is propaganda 101. the only people benefitting from this are the Americans sending more missiles and aid. why would Putin want to create a negative image by striking a hospital. this is a warzone and hospitals will get hit occasionally. and so will women and children. you would have thought with the billions$ they are sending to Ukraine they could afford to ship people out the country... but its better they stay in a hospital in a warzone isnt it???!!!!

No doubt Russia will claim that the children's hospital was a major military HQ or marshalling area to excuse their vicious attack. They used a vastly expensive precision bomb but Ukraine counterstrikes with 'toys' with more accuracy.
