He's a brave guy, but he has no balance, so he's not a good journalist. His narrative is 'the rebels are all arseholes who are gradually losing.' Fairly accurate, but it's not the whole story. The leadership of Ukraine are arseholes too, and we should not be backing either side. We're only backing them because we don't want Russia to regain influence. Stupid war games. Ben Anderson, he's the real journalist at VICE.

Unbelievable!!! That Ukrainian soldier can't understand why the civilian is so upset because there are children in the town that they've been shelling. "Hey look, I know we've been lobbing artillery shells and firing tank rounds into your town but did we kill any of your kids? No? So it's all good!" Canada shouldn't be supporting the gov't in Kiev, if anything Ottawa should offer a safe site for peace talks and help with mediation. Innocent people are dying!
@human151
@human151 10 жыл бұрын
canada should not be supporting ukraine because they ukraine had to shell a city in order to dislodge militants which were intertwined amongst the entire city? What kind of military strategist are you? What kind of idiot are you? Canada supported the allies during ww2. the allies bombed the city of Dresden, Germany. over 25,000 people were killed in that bombing. what say you now?
@rp2055
@rp2055 10 жыл бұрын
human151 I say you're the idiot. You're the type of idiot who can't even think for himself. Because Canada helped bomb civilians in German cities 70 years ago means that we should support a government in Ukraine that's made up of wealthy oligarchs??? Think, just try to think, it'll hurt at first but then you'll get used to it. Why were those militants in Donetsk and the other cities in the first place? If Poroshenko had decided to negotiate with the people in the eastern part of Ukraine then a war wouldn't have been necessary. The people in charge of the Ukrainian government are not nice people, no matter what you hear on Fox "News". The Ukrainian soldier in this video is being used, the civilians are dying and morons like you think it's all a game. Yet none of this violence had to happen. Grow up, son, grow a pair and start thinking for yourself.
@human151
@human151 10 жыл бұрын
Richard Parker oligarchs....Petro Poroshenko owns the largest candy company in Ukraine. Its not as if he stole that money. For gods sake, you can buy his candy on Amazon. Its sold world wide. Being wealthy does not automatically disqualify someone from being President, it actually ussually means that the wealthy guy is extremely intelligent, which is what Ukraine needs during this perilous time. Im going to take this opportunity to educate you because I assume you mat not have all the facts. Petro Poroshenko was not President when this started. He came into office in May. THis war was already in full swing by then so there was no way he could negotiate. Lets talk about negotiation. Im not going to go back to the very beginning, but lets start in March, after Crimea was stolen by Russia. Within days of the russian annexation of Crimea, armed bandits began taking over Ukrainian Government buildings in Eastern Cities. We have to remember that also during this time, the speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament was acting President because the parliament had just impeached Yanokovych. The Government was in chaos. We have to get into the Russian mindset before we proceed further. Putin had just stolen Crimea and the international community did not so much as bat an eye. Nothing was done. He figured since no one did anything about Crimea, he could stir up chaos in eastern Ukraine and take those regions as well. Eastern Ukraine has a massive amount of natural resources and would connect Russia with their new prize, Crimea (as it is now, the only way there from RUssia is by air, or ship). While he was taking Crimea, he also sent in Russian intelligence Agents to foment trouble in eastern ukraine to make it ripe for his taking. He had agents in there causing trouble and at the same time he had 50,000 troops on the Russian Ukrainian border ready for a full scale invasion. His plan was to start an insurrection then when the Ukrainian government started fighting back, he would send in all his troops as an invasion force under the guise of "defending ethnic RUssians" (just dont let the fact that they are Ukrainian citizens get in the was of his logic). The same thing was done in Georgia in 2008. The exact same thing. Back to the story, these groups, the "pro- russia separatists", took over Ukrainian government buildings and it spread quickly until dozens of cities, towns and villages were under their control. Problem for RUssia is, the Ukrainian government did not fight back, at least at first. They most likely knew what Putin was planning. As soon as they fought back against the separatists, russia would send in its' troops. In the interim, the international Community stepped up, lead by the United States. We placed dozens of economic sanctions in place, costing the RUssian economy hundreds of billions in investment and revenue. Putin realized that if he actually sent in his troops, we would unleash the harshest economic sanctions against russia and push them into an immediate recession, which is why he has not invaded. Now, Russia is instead sending in a steady stream of fighters and arms to the separatist movement. It is now a proxy war, in a way. Do you think canada would just roll over and play dead, as you want Ukraine to do, if this happened to them? What do you think the United States would do, if Mexico tried to militarily occupy and steal california? I posted a video on my channel yesterday which may help you to better understand the situation. Im no J.J. Abrams, but I think you'll find it informative. Sorry this is so long, but I had a lot to say.

***** Listen Ukraine is not Russia and never has been ever. It was taken over by force at one time and right now is fighting to get back its lands from "whoever" is occupying them. It really doesnt matter who it is, terrorists/russians/taliban/barney the dinosaur. The lands are ukraines and they need to be taken back.

For the first time in four years, a gas station in the United States is offering to fill 'er up for less than $2 a gallon. But you'll have to drive to Oklahoma City to get it. The OnCue Express in Oklahoma City dropped its gas price by 12 cents to $1.99 per gallon on Wednesday, making it the cheapest gas station in the country, according to GasBuddy. As of Wednesday afternoon, the national average stood at $2.75 per gallon, which is the lowest average since Oct. 5, 2010, according to AAA. "Gas prices have fallen at a remarkable pace that would have been unthinkable just a few months ago," AAA spokesman, Avery Ash, said Wednesday. "Lower gas prices represent real doorbuster savings as everyone begins their holiday shopping." Ash said the country could see prices drop to the lowest levels since the Great Recession if the cost of crude oil continues to set multiyear lows. However, crude oil prices would have to drop an additional $25-$30 a barrel for the national average price of gasoline to fall below $2, AAA said. According Gasbuddy, the national average could slip into the $2.50s by Dec. 25 and certain states, including Texas, South Carolina, and Missouri, are expected to offer gas for less than $2 a gallon soon. USA loves Putler!

There is something missing from this video. We did not see any burned tanks or bodies. No evidence of fighting, just shelling remains and annoyed people. I doubt this was a held place of any importance. Simon perhaps might want to pop over to the border - Rostovskaya Obl.. There are over 400 Ukrainian troops that have walked over the Russian border and asked for shelter. They were surrounded and given up on fighting. Adds to the others who are walking over the border daily.

After checking some youtube channels that clearly say dumb things that sound very "Kremlin propaganda" like you clearly see that they indeed are being used to disperse Kremlin propaganda lol ( Some gaming channels and whatnot suddenly interested in one particular political video? I think not ...). A lithuanian professor already knew and showed how strong the Kremlin propaganda works in all kinds of way, including Internet and in this case, VIce videos.
