@@pizdafsem777 The USA has eventually lost every conflict where we didn't fight with a firm moral foundation, because our people didn't support the war. As it should be. That doesn't excuse the atrocities that we've committed, but it does put it in perspective. As a nation we're not afraid of losing when it's become obvious that we're doing wrong. We want to lose, when it's wrong to win. Though, "loss" is subjective. Because when the USA goes into a region for a punitive expedition, or to enhance wealth, everyone loses in that scenario. There is no winner. But you're wrong that we've never fought near peers before. It's just been awhile since we've done so on a large scale. Compare that to a nation like China, who doesn't care if it's wrong to win. They only care about face. So, if they commit to a conflict in a region they will stick around and conquer the territory, killing or oppressing everyone who opposes them until they can rewrite the history books and say that they were right, even if everyone knows it's a lie. There's the difference between the USA and super powers like Russia and China.
