So enjoy watching your videos! I'm a beginner learning from your youtube videos. I stumbled across the ukulele accidentally. I was going in for a harmonica! And I came out of the music store with the ukulele. I'm so glad I did. It's so fun!

Katie you are a great uke teacher. My brother is trying to teach me but he is not as. patient as you are. Please keep up the lessons. P.S. Bought a 5-string tenor, but playing both G strings resulted in a horrendous sound. Playing a chord like G or F with the 5 strings sound so deep and beautiful. What is the secret. Thank you. Aloha

Hi Katie, Love your tutorials and am happy to be a Patreon member. When I watch uke videos from anyone I always wonder what the uke is they are playing. Just wanting to suggest putting at the bottom of the caption for every vid, what the uke is you are playing in that particular vid. It would be great if everyone did that...would help us newbies. Hi Darlin! So much to say to you. I’ve been super-duper busy, Jeffrey was sick for a few weeks and spent one of those weeks in the hospital, but God is faithful and His mercies are new everyday. He’s never been that sick since we’ve been married a ba-zillion years ago. Anyway, I’m also super excited cause it’s almost time for the baby!!! I know, I know...he/she is not mine, but I must live vicariously through others! You look beautiful, but you look so tired. Are you getting enough rest? Anyway..did you do a gender reveal and not share with us? Love the finger picking tutorial! And wow, is that a 5 string Uke? Did I miss a post where you demonstrated it? Thanks! I think it’s really cool as well. The more I play it, the more I like it. It’s a Flamed Maple 5 string Tenor from Lanikai. It also has a Fishman pickup and a tuner.

Thanks so much for watching, and I. Glad this helped. You can do anything that you’d like because there are always options; however, only using two fingers may slow you down once you want to try a more technically demanding piece. Think of it as another tool for your toolbox to be able to use when you need them 😀.

Hi Tonya! Thanks so much for watching 😀. I’m so glad that you find theses videos helpful. I do have a U bass, but I do t have any lessons available at this time. My friend Steven Cox has a KZfaq channel, and he’s a fantastic bass player (u bass and ukulele). He’s also done u bass lesson with Rock Class 101, so I hope that helps you get started 😀.

Why don’t you use the ring finger to accomplish the same? Assigning the Thumb to G string, index to C string, middle to E and ring to A string?

Yes, this uke has both. It’s from Lanikai and it’s really fun to have both.

HI!! It's a Lanikai FM-CET 5 string Tenor ukulele with Bloodwood binding and flamed maple. IT has a low and a high G. It's different, and I've really come to like it a lot. How are you doing?

So this is the first video I happened to watch about Travis picking and she teaches it different than every single other ukulele player I've found on you tube! This really sucked because after a while of practicing this I looked for other variations and realized that they are variations on the typical travis picking pattern. It was much harder to re learn it the right way because I already had muscle memory. You could at least say that it's not the traditional way to travis pick. It's interesting but not good for someone who is just starting to fingerpick. It's a very small difference but it really messes my fingers up now!
