That is Kalanga not Ndebele culture. If you want to see proper Ndebele ways, you want to go to Lupane, Nkayi or Bubi. Ndebele people don't clap their hands as a sign of respect or gratitude, its Shona culture.

Educational!! Great show! Well researched!! What happens to the goatskin? I have just realised that in almost every Manyika kitchen that I have been to, I have seen the goatskin displayed or used as a sitting mat. I would want to believe they perform the same ceremony albeit in a different manner.
