This thing yokuthwebula idlozi it has always been there. Ask yourself why was it important for abantu wena when growing up you thought they were just distance relatives to be present if there were ceremonies, even if it's one person ozomela abaleyondlu (usually referred to as "they are here on behalf of umkhulu so and so" ). Families kudala use to practice such but they wouldn't call it ukuthwebula but umkhuba walelo khaya.
