The cold doesn't appeal to me personally but I'm intrigued by the place. Do these long-term expats have visas for 8, 10, 15 years? I don't know much about how that works.

I would really like to know how that black guy from Africa ended up in Mongolia... Does anybody know? It sounds incredible to me! Also, does anybody know if there’s an Italian community over there in Ulaanbataar?

Total culture shock from hot African weather to harsh Mongolian winters. as he said.. Although Mongolian summers are apparently quite hot. Good to see it is not justpeople from Wetsren countries that have emigrated there though

As of 2014, most of the expats have left, Hennesy.s bar is a graveyard, teachers getting paid in Tugs cannot afford to send money home, so are leaving as the tug has sunk to 2800 to the GBP, fine for me as my money comes from the UK

@williedaniels3882
@williedaniels3882 5 жыл бұрын
@Jason Honor Better check their income tax laws for ex-Pats first. You still may have to pay US taxes ALSO because of the GOP GREED in changing the laws to make it harder for US citizens to settle out of the US permanently! You will have to pay Mongolian income taxt too.

One question: how present is the Russian language in Mongolia? Is it still used as a vehicular language?
@Todsor

Russian language has been fading since the Soviet collapse and English is taking its place rapidly. If you are a Russian, we prefer to communicate with you in English.
