There are a lot of guitarists who cover Hendrix, and rightly so, but none I’d rather hear than Uli.

Yep! I saw him do Little Wing and Watchtower in 2004 in his 1st return to America in 19 years. Here he does what I call the "whale sounds" guitar at about the 3:40? mark. Anyway, however he does Hendrix, going back to the Spirit of Hendrix DVD in 91 is great. Jimi would've had his head turned after hearing Earthquake. When he's on he turns from tone to tone, effect to effect in such a magical display of what you can do. Check out his wrists. When I met him, first of all, I am doing it, throw me out if you must, but we talked and his wrists are thick. His hands are not much if any bigger than mine. but I think this allows him to have ease in his playing where Hendrix had huge hands. Uli certainly stuck to his guns, followed his muse and is Uli. The one and only.

I love this version but my favorite cover of this is by Stevie Ray Vaughn, this is awesome though!

I know that he is good. I even know that he is very good. But that???? That is simply brilliant, simply out of this world. It's a virtuosity that is so brilliant and on point. I think everyone knows the original and some covers of little wing. Like quinn sullivans version which is also outstanding. But it doesn't come close to that. And he doesn't just do one-simple cover, no, that would be too easy, he varies it completely without even rudimentarily changing the original to the extreme. You can only bow down in awe and say thank you for these 8 minutes of goosebumps

GREAT , ULI J. ROTH MAYBE THE BEST GUITARIST ON LIFE (7-10-2021) , WONDERFUL COVER OF THIS JIMI HENTRIX MASTERPIECE , I KNOW THAT IT IS BLASPHEMY WHAT I WRITE NOW BUT I THINK THAT THIS VERSION IS BETTER FROM THE ORIGINAL !

Wow to see Ule Ritgen with Uli again. It would be great if he toured with Uli and play maybe 5 Electric Sun songs. Or 10 cause they're really good and I prefer it to Scorpions which has had its fair share in recent years.
