I've tried both because I wear basketball shorts in the summer all the time. I think the DCC clips are the best. You can use them without a belt, but also with a belt. They hold great on basketball shorts as long as you tighten your draw string. The DCC clips are more versatile than an Ulticlip.

Very informative video. I like the looks of the Ulticlip. Having carried professionally for over. 30 years, I have been conscious of the fact that IWBs have clips that are visible. For years, the best one I found was the Alessi Talon clip (RIP Lou) but ended up going to untucked shirts a lot of the time so loops were acceptable. I currently use JM Custom Kydex IWBs of the Bruce Nelson school with loops and clips. Going to look more at the Ulticlip. I’m not much into AIWB as despite the wedges, I haven’t found one that was a comfortable as traditional 3-3:30 carry. I have a hernia that hasn’t been bad enough to require fixing, but the holster grates on it when I do. Anyway, thanks for this presentation.

DCC monoblock on all my IWB holsters. Love them. They can be used with or without a belt also. I run a claw on everything too. That and a Kore Essentials belt and im good to go. I can carry the Echelon IWB with this setup and it doesn't print. I'm 6 foot 180lbs.

I carry a Staccato C2 and occasionally a Glock 19 in a Tier1, QVO and lately a Tenicor (Sagax LUX which has a built in body contour) and all have needed a wedge. Recently picked up a 365 Spectre Comp and that will need a wedge as well but for me it’s even more important on the larger handguns due to the larger grips.

Small additional note Ulticlip does not make a clip for 1.75” belts only 1.5” also the metal edges are very sharp n u can easily pinch ur fingers when clamping it down on ur belt or pants

Cant wait to get one of their holsters. Im all set right now for my gear but when I get a new gun or add a light to the shield, Ill be hitting them up!!!

I use the Tenicore Holsters. I own 5 of them. I also use those holsters with DCC clips and also rigged them to work with the Alias clip which is connected to the Phlster Enigma

Any rusting on your shield brother? I had to replace the pins for cosmetic rust but my hi viz sights are getting pretty bad. 😢 They came on the gun but I had to adjust them when new and they almost immediately started rusting.

You should clean it on a regular and put some lube on it to prevent rust. It's as easy as that.

@@ATOMSKI_MRAV I've taken excellent care of it. I carry it appendix almost everyday so I think it's just the environment I have it stored in (my pants 😂). Any exterior coat of oil will be gone in a few hours from rubbing under my clothes and against my body.

Threw a ZP comp and tlr6 on my 43x... need a new holster now....!!! Any ideas anybody?

Tactical holster makes some solid ones. The only issue I have with them is the lack of different clips but you can replace them with a ulti tuck. I have two of his holsters and they've held up great. Positive retention and gun doesn't fall out of holster if upside down.
