S is a joke lol and u can't get it by playing normally, you have to stall and spam same skill that give more point and do less damage. People on leaderboard be using using rime and taking hour on each phase to get highest score. Might make a video on this scoring meme.

Yea I noticed presicion skills start giving rainbow stars after a while, so rime, upheaval, windup, megaflare 4, zantetsuken 5 seem like a good bet but.... boring as hell

use all that but try to do as much combo attack as possible.(3-4 light swipe than triangle i think)

i did most of them missing few in middle section. But it not really that bad you willing to abuse odin with 50% dancing steel accessory and orbs with 10 sec extra damage immunity for near always uptime. i did most of them in under 3 attempts. But getting S rank is pain!

Missed it by little bit. i wasn't even aware he get tired in final stand cuz i blasted him on my normal run lol.

just dodge when it's about to hit you, dodge again for the boss slam and don't counter attack on the slam cuz the projectile will hit you.

was using it for immunity cuz i wasn't sure about all attacks in Phase 3.

haven't played after i did odin but i was using dancing steel charge, will of wykes or something that gives u immunity and the one that increase duration of will. this is really good for ultimaniac room clear. u can just go in use shiva to freeze than dancing steel and odin lvl 5. But if u care about S rank than just spam rime skill, it does very less damage and keep giving u point on hits.

yeah and ps5 downgrading resolution to 720p in combat doesn't help either.

i am only lvl 89 but i deleted everything without any problem in Final fantasy mode. But in multimaniac its rough in later areas, just tried odin level and he have a lot of health.

@@YeeshuYeah I was gonna ask how the Barnabas boss fight is. That’s the boss I’m most looking forward to fighting on Ultimaniac. He already had a lot of health and was extremely aggressive on normal, so I’m wondering how much more difficult he is.

I thought the shiva freeze is only one second freeze ? How did he freeze for so long ? It’s the circle skill right ?

@@justinguerrero6357 double tap is the quick freeze frostbite, precision dodge with the dash and you freeze for like 5 seconds called permafrost

​@lockekappa500 No you can just reload and it place you right before final mission. You can later start a new game + in any mode with that same save if you want to replay from the start

No, but a lot of boss attacks do.

yup and other one u have to go through a lot of enemies to fight the actual boss and its only 1 phase.

Finish main game and do 2nd playthrough on final fantasy mode and kill the last boss. Than you can load the save that you made after the ending and play arcade. (Save will show "Back to Their Origin" Complete)

Requirement is quite high for ultimaniac. You need to abuse certain abilities that give you rainbow rating and don't do a lot of damage if u want easy S in ultimaniac. There might be also a bonus for no hit taken.

Will-o-wykes and Zentsutsuken are near S-Rank killers for ultramaniac. The score:damage ratio is way too low. Which I sort of see why it would be, as even in ultramaniac these abilities are just tooooo OP. Not saying it's impossible to S, BUT, it'll make your run 10x harder for having them.

the easiest way is to have lvl 5 zan ready and use windup throughout the whole phase but release the button right at the start of precision window so it doesn't do a lot of damage and give you rainbow rating. Than you can use zan in the end to get some extra point. its slow but easy S.

​@@senpafl4405 I'm with you on this and also for levels with a lot of enemies u can get 4-5 of them together and keep using diamond dust over and over for 4-5 rainbow rating per cast. Current scoring system is not good at all, I think there should be a time factor and it gives u score according to how much time u have left and bonus for longer combo, ability chain, no hit, etc.

it just slow without those, normal attack do like no damage. I tried to do odin without abilities but the purple health bar phase forces u to use all big damage abilities. And my brain just stopped working on those comets lol. but maybe i will do this boss again with just normal swipe sometime in future.

I was watching one streamer trying this yesterday evening for about 4 hrs. He was playing in a cool style without will of the wykes and consequently more likely to die. Eventually his best progress is up until Phoenix phase in p3. Given the fact that practicing p3 needs 20 min clearing previous phases each time, it’s really tiring to complete the whole fight not playing defensively. Nevertheless, there’re only 17 people clearing this fight so far, so I would be happy enough if I could simply clear this whatever the play style is.

i tried yesterday without using any abilities took me around 30 min to get to the phoenix but i died after the phoenix phase by the laser from boss. I was not doing any mega combo just normal attack and magic burst. And my fingers were hurting after that lol.

Only tried once, did 20% of his health. will try again in few hours.

died on final stand cuz didn't saw blinding steel through all the particles on screen. Run back to boss is so bad lol, 9 waves of bosses and enemies.

@@Yeeshu I’m atleast glad there is a super hard mode available. Gives something for those saying it was to easy if they still like the game

yeah, odin is fun in this mode. 1 swipe does half my health so u cant really trade a lot with him, also have really small windows to attack and if u spam light attack three time he will parry you.

in Ultimaniac u take almost double damage compare to final fantasy and do less damage cuz game always give u underleveled weapon. ff is not much harder compare to normal, it only ramp up near the end of the game.

How do you feel ff and ultimaniac difficulties and in general the depth of the combat system compared to other action games like dmc ?

Unless you really going for high points there is no difficulty and depth to combat in ultimaniac cuz you can just spam immunity orb , frostbite and Zantetsuken over and over to clear any room in one cast. But if you wanna go for combos there are many options not as much as DMC but still enough.

Any AI changes on Eikon fights in FF/Ultimaniac or is it just more damage/HP?

Immunity orbs is the ifrit skill will of the wisps ? They don’t have a long cooldown? If you can spam them they would trivialize the game

why no ultimaniac? go press square for 2 hour really a challenge!

No, just annoying cuz of health and will take about 2 hour for a kill (Maybe little less cuz i was only doing normal attacks and no big combos). I am happy you got it done though but personally I'm only gonna do no hit on ultimaniac. Little busy right now cuz of work, so maybe in a week. I tried without abilities couple week ago and made it to 3rd phase but yeah not interested in running it. Takes too long, its boring and my finger hurts after.

@@Yeeshu there's still only FF difficulty mode though. There is no difficulty higher then that.

@@Yusei255 Look at top left it says Ultimaniac. You can only play this difficulty through arcade mode after finishing whatever mission you wanna play on final fantasy mode.
