Warning there is a Jeep in my Bronco video. :)
I was prepping for the Palo Duro Jeep Jamboree and decided to make a video about some of my 2021 Bronco opinions and thoughts.
We have a First Edition in Area 51 (OB1) and a BadLands in Velocity Blue (BadSquatch) on order. We have one build date , it is the 2021 Bronco First Edition and the other could end up a 2022 Bronco Badlands.
I wouldn't change a thing on OB1 but there is a a couple of options I would like to have on BadSquatch.
Let me know what you would change if anything.

There seems to be a lot of confusion of what the GOAT modes do, or don’t do. You can replicate most of it by the various switches and gears, like front & rear lockers, transfer case, etc, but some of the drive mode features you can’t replicate; like throttle response, transmission shift points, and steering feel. Also, I have watched the tune and 1/4 mile testing from 5Star tuning on the F150 with the V8, 2.7 and 3.5. Pretty much shows how capable the 2.7 will be. So, I think the Bronco Badlands with the 2.7 , either with or without Sasquatch, would be a pretty good build out the door, and allow for modifications down the road. (I have a 4-door FE on order)

I agree with that! Until you pointed it out I looked at the Goat modes differently than the modes on the Gen 2 Raptor. I ran mine in Baja mode with 4wd off because of the throttle response. I will check out 5 star and see what they have done with the 2.7. I will admit the 2.7 pulls hard in the ride alongs. Very Impressive. Once I get to drive one I may have to eat crow in a video. :)

I was at the Supercel. I think as far as bang for the buck a base with a squatch package is more vehicle dollar for dollar than an equivalent jeep... Still an avid jeep guy though and I think a fully built jeep like you have takes the cake, but for me id say a two door base squatch off the lot is what i would go with.

Bronco definitely looks to be more bang for the buck. I think a BaseSquatch could be an off road equal or maybe exede a Stock Rubicon at a much lower entry price. Once you start modifying them who knows.

It’s going to be coming man. They would be dumb not to come out with a bigger engine. You KNOW they expected Jeep to respond with the V8, only for them to reload and hit us with a bigger engine and more innovation for 2022-2023. My dad is waiting for them to do it and I am going to be so jealous cause I didn’t wait and bought the 2.7L twin turbo!

I hope so!! Ford has been really smart about the Bronco. The drivers at the ride alongs are killing it. The cool thing is we will be the winners when the Jeep and Ford power war really starts. I am looking forward to actually driving a 2.7. From the passenger seat it pulls hard.

I don’t necessarily think the GOAT modes were designed will the avid off-roader in mind, they were probably designed more for somebody like myself who has very limited off-road experience. Nonetheless, I am excited to get back into a four-wheel-drive. I ordered a four-door Badlands edition with the Sasquatch package.

Excellent choice, I ordered the same build. I am ready to get it dirty. No doubt the goat modes are cool. The more I rambled on the more realized that I wanted the rock crawl mode. If its anything like the Raptor we will have a good time with the 2.7 in Baja Mode. Thanks for commenting.

@@TrailCartel I bought an FJ Cruiser in 07 and beat the snot out of it for 8 years and traded in for a 4RUNNER. I kept the 4RUNNER for a couple years and traded in for sports car. Although the sports car was cool, I was not happy being limited on where I can go. If it were not for the pandemic, I am most likely would’ve been in a Jeep by now, but with the extra time I decided to wait for the Bronco. Based on the email I received from Ford, my Bronco should go in to production mid June. Hopefully it’s not too much longer.

From what I've seen in the F150 world, it seems that swapping in a coyote for the 2.7 will only get you a slower Bronco. Didn't Brad Lovell tell you the 4600 Bronco with the 2.7 will be faster than his legends car? I'd trust Brad.

I know, but I’m old school. :) I still like 2 stroke dirt bikes and a V8 sound and feel. I doubt the coyote would even fit and your right Brad did vouch for the 2.7. Just dreaming and start a conversation. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@TrailCartel After watching your vids, I humbly prescribe the following: Build on the new Bronco's inherent spirit in keeping with the mission of being superior to Jeep in applications from 5MPH and up (IFS). Put more build emphasis on high-speed handling over rock-crawling ability, it just make sense. Stay with 35's or maybe 37's, add a little more travel, get as much as 500+ rear wheel HP/torque radicality (5Star), while still maintaining daily driver comfort. Give way to the Jeep in rock-crawling and blow them away in every other category. My two cents.
