Join me Reds 3D Printing, in an exhilarating race to compare the print quality of Creality's top-of-the-line printers: the Core XY Kinematic K1C and the Ender 3 V3 Core XZ Style. With nearly identical features, we puts these printers to the test to see which one comes out on top in terms of print quality, speed, and overall performance.
In this video, we dive into the details of both printers, highlighting their similarities and differences. Without any major calibration adjustments, I showcase the results of prints from both machines, providing valuable insights into their capabilities straight out of the box.
From examining surface finish and precision to evaluating layer adhesion and overhangs, we meticulously evaluates each aspect of the print quality. we will be discussing the benefits of the K1C's enclosed design and its impact on print quality, especially when dealing with challenging models like the fab 365 bush viper snake.
Throughout the comparison, I share my thoughts on which printer offers better value for money and addresses the differences in pricing between the two models. Despite the slight speed advantage of the Ender 3 V3, I emphasizes the advantages of the K1C's build quality and versatility.
As the race unfolds, we will reflects on the impressive capabilities of both printers and discusses the upcoming releases from Creality, including the K2 Plus and Ender 3 V3 Plus models. Excited about the future of 3D printing, I look forward to exploring multi-color printing capabilities and larger format options.
Join us on this insightful journey through the world of 3D printing, and discover which printer reigns supreme in this thrilling race. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and share your thoughts in the comments below. Happy printing! :)

Thanks for the comparison video , I was gonna buy the v3 but the v3 plus will suit my needs more with the larger bed space so I am waiting for stock to appear in the U.K . Nice content keep up the good work 👍🏼

Thank you so much for your feedback! Hopefully you'll be able to get your hands on the v3 plus soon! I really hope to see the v3 plus and k2 plus at the Rocky Mountain Rep Rap Festival in a couple days! Maybe even a CFS Demo, that would be super epic! The dual Y axis motors are super intriguing to me, Id love to upgrade my v3 to have dual Y axis motors... It really would only make sense to do.. Im curious if theirs any real improvement because of it. It may just be necessary for the plus with its massive bed size of 300x300 to have dual Y motors to be able to reach the same speeds as the regular v3 hmmm... Id love to do some testing!

Great comparison between the two different types of printers. Great job with showing the comparison of the prints. We have had some layer issues with our k1c but I think it was user error. But we do love it. I don’t think I will get a non-closure printer because of my cats they already try attacking printer while it’s going lol

I don't think it's appropriate to set the exact same slicing parameters, because the auxiliary fan of the V3 is located at the back of the print head, and it can be set in creality print to have different speeds for usual speeds and different speeds for special positions (overhangs & drawbridges)

Great video. Just got my ender 3 v3 a couple of days ago as my first ever 3d printer. The prints have been very clean, my benchy was practically perfect even better than your k1 bency. However, few questions. for the lettering at the bottom of the benchythey were barely visible. Does that mean i need to raise the z axis abit? Also, while the v3 is off is it oddly hard to move the printhead side to side or are my belts very tight? Thanks in advance
@kevin.3D
@kevin.3D 4 ай бұрын
hi there. I am very interested in this issue with your V3 because mine moves freely - normally they can move easily.
@murci6891
@murci6891 4 ай бұрын
@kevin.3D good to know. So what could be the reason of this issue? Are my belts over tightened?
@diegovn
@diegovn 3 ай бұрын
@murci6891 I don't think so. The belts have automatic tensioner...the z1 could be adjusted, but only through the auto-leveling system. Also, it should not be easy to move the printhead when the printer is idling AFTER a print (because it's common for the g-code to lock it in some position) Regarding the writing, do not worry so much. All the presets for this printer are still missing and the fast benchy it comes with is heavily modified for optimum speed. Source: I have the same printer and 7 years of experience with 3d printers now.

Kinda crazy @13:40 how the bed temp is limited like that on the k1c, thanks for reaching out to Creality about it though I was wondering about that... Maybe they will update the k1c bed to be able to print at 120 eventually

This video is what I needed. Thank you for great work! But, what about the printing noise? Which is more quiet? Can you test it ?
@Reds3DPrinting
@Reds3DPrinting 3 ай бұрын
Yes I can test it for you, personally I think the v3 is a tiny bit quieter, but when you put either of the printers in silent printing they're both decently quiet. Quiet mode turns the fans down which helps the most but it does slow the print speed down significantly, the k1 seems louder even with the enclosure I think because the sound bounces around the enclosure rather than concealing it if that makes sense. When I have them both going at full speed my room sounds like a jet engine is in there lol. Ill post a short comparing the noise soon though, ill use a decibel meter as well

@@Reds3DPrinting Also I wonder about printing ABS. My friend has K1 and he has not any issues with printing ABS. I've ender 3 max and never been able to print ABS. I'm looking for upgrade to ender 3 v3 corexz. Did you tried printing ABS with ender 3 v3? Is it possible without the enclosure?
@Reds3DPrinting
@Reds3DPrinting 3 ай бұрын
@@meliksahx I have not tested that myself, mainly because I have my k1C now. I would be confident that the v3 would be able to at least print smaller parts without any worry. On bigger parts you might be better of with using the box that came with your printer and turning it into a make shift enclosure, or even just taking a blanket and throwing the blanket over top so there arent any drafts. That is how I used to print ABS on my OG ender 3 before I got my K1C. The K1Cs bed only being able to heat up to 100 and the Ender 3 v3 can heat up to 120, it might benefit from the extra heat. At the same time though, that might not matter because either way a draft will ruin everything and cause it to warp off the plate.. Maybe it you use a large brim might work to prevent it from warping off the build plate? I know I have had success using brims on prints that want to warp with asa and abs. You also just have to make sure to use like suuuuper low fan, no aux fan and turn off back cooling. You may even have to "preheat your chamber" If you makeshift yourself one. It may benefit from any warping if you do make yourself a make shift chamber and cover the printer.. I have a tiny bit of abs left so when I get the chance I will give that a try for you

Great review , good job, really. I can get the Ender 3 V3 for 337€, and the K1C for 449€, do you think the added 112€ justifies the purchase of the K1C?
@Reds3DPrinting
@Reds3DPrinting Ай бұрын
Thanks coach! Personally if I was left with those options I would for sure get the k1c, although the v3 seems to print and slice files from stock a bit quicker, Ive noticed a decent quality improvement on the k1c from the v3.. The k1c has been my go to printer for any single color prints and its super nice to have the enclosure.. Although the k1c isnt perfect either, atleast the k1c has a fix for VFAs, where the v3 does not. I would also suggest if you can to snag it from amazon.. Its much much easier to deal with amazon customer service than pretty much any company Slighly off topic, but once upon a time I bought a SOVOL SV06 from amazon that turned out to be dead on arrival (Bad motherboard and this was my second printer and I had never touched a motherboard before) so I opt to return rather than play the guessing game of what the issue is and have them send me part after part. Amazon was super quick to accept the return and get me a refund so I was able to get a different printer ordered right away

@@Reds3DPrinting Thank you so much for your reply!! well, the issue is, if i go the Amazon route or a local vendor, the price difference is significant, with shipping, i am counting on 10/150 more !!, But i totally get your argument... its either pay 449€ and pray, or 600€ and have good after-sales support... what a conundrum :( I'm coming to the conclusion that this is a not so cheap hobby! Sure its cheaper than kart racing, but still :p
@Reds3DPrinting
@Reds3DPrinting Ай бұрын
@@rubiskelter That makes sense, thats a tough spot :/ If this is your very first printer, personally Id suggest looking into a basic ender 3, I got into the hobby for less than $200 and I still have and use my original ender 3. I got into printing almost exactly a year ago now, so prices on stuff have improved slightly. If I was restarting again, I would snag an ender 3 SE... Theyre only 200 bucks and they have alot of the good upgrades already, but also gives room to learn a bit and you can also choose to modify/upgrade stuff as you please then too! Also the bambu lab a1 mini and regular size a1 printers are really good high quality printers. If you get the bambu printers without the multi material system you can snag an a1 mini for like 250 (Id say the print quality is the highest on the bambu)

Do you think the ender v3 plus is worth it or not
@Reds3DPrinting
@Reds3DPrinting Ай бұрын
Personally, I would not. Simply because I already get some pretty gnarly VFAs (vertical fine artifacts) on my regular v3 and ive noticed the higher the print the worse the VFAs are :(. I wish Creality would of realized this and put a linear rail, and linear rod on the v3 plus. At this point I am just hoping the community fixes this issue with some sort of linear rail mod for the v3 and v3 plus, just like they did with the k1 and k1c VFA issues. If you're in need of a large bed size, I would suggest looking into something like the SV08 (that is also if you dont need it fast like tomorrow, because I think they're still trying to play catch up with their launch) I think wait time for one of those is at least 2 weeks still but that isnt too bad
