Those external antenna are directional you need to mount them externally and adjust their direction according to the manufacturers website You better off getting cheap omnidirectional first to see if your signal improves.

I’m in the UK with a Nighthawk M1 on o2 with Unlimited Data. I live in Milton Keynes where I get FULL signal, but max download speed I can achieve is around 50mb/s. Does your massive netgear router increase your speeds? Thanks

Nighthawk is a 4x4 MIMO capable device, sounds like your local mast support 4x4. Switching to a 2x2 antenna reduced that, hence slower speeds.

Bro, you're in the same situation as me. I live in North London and i can't get fibre, i get 10-15mb upload and MAX 1mb upload. I'm thinking to buy the M1 and get an EE sim only contract so i can stream on KZfaq and Twitch. What you think?

Have a friend in rural USA trying help her with better Internet solution .. she can get either a M1 or M5 from at&t with being "bound" to the subscription ... but then question is if she should go for M5 despite she only can get 4G (thinking maybe it will run as fast as M2) instead of M1.. well taking into account M1 was better at upload to me seems then not too much difference between M1 and M2 so will recommend then M1

Great review. The M2 is a Cat20 device which specifically picks up the LTE-A (4G+) signal. I notice you have this running as a modem to Nighthawk router. Are you able to show the settings you changed on the M2 and your router to make this possible?

TOTALLY agree with how crap mobile internet is here in the UK! I came from living in Asia, went from 180Mbps download and 45Mbps upload on 4G.... To 15Mbps download and 2Mbps upload on 4G... 😒😒😒🙄

Currently i have the Huawei b535 4g with EE card. The speeds are much slower than my phone on the same network and major rubber banding on gaming. Would a Nighthawk m1/2 likely fix this? Signal is great its just not reliably stable or as fast as my phones speed on the same network right next to it.

What is your phone network speed like, i have adsl its a good speed 60 -70 mbps but i could save nearly 20 a month, but my 4g phone has 2mbps would a 4g router be faster i live in apartment area so i was thinking a external antenna or see if there is a difference with 4g+

I have a TP-Link Archer MR600 AC1200 Mbps 4G+ router with a Three unlimited data sim. I was just wondering if you know anything about how the Nighthawk M2 gets such a high download and upload speed? Is it just your area and EE with high speed 4G or is it the Nighthawk M2 just being an absolute beast??

So if I get Verizons 5g/4gLTE home internet service - what would then be the best set up for the fastest possible speeds on my main PC while having wifi throughout the house. I would like to have a direct ethernet connection to my main pc with the M2 and not use Verizons router. Is that possible?

@@killuminatikilla3235 unfortunately not mate. Ended up buying an EE router and a netgear router (netgear was much better), but both are no where near as good as broad band. Maybe the top of the range netgear router might have done the trick like but I gave up 400 pound down too lol - the joys. What we do for our hobbies ehh lol

Maybe the M2 doesnt support that massive LTE combinations at the moment that EE offers. So that might be the reason for the slower upload speed. But the M2 can do more Download streams so thats the reason why the download is better. An external antenna slows down the speed because it only has 2 antennas but both of the routers have 4 internal antennas so more download speed with the internal antennas :D
