I like the looks of the Lemken implement, I believe it would do a better job than a field cultivator ahead of the peanut planter especially where some nut grass or bermuda grass has started growing. I am anxious to see how it works when you post

The duals make it look great and ready to claw its way through the fields. Socks when you get ready to do something and you have hydraulic fluid spraying everywhere. Enjoyed the video like as always.

Why are peanuts not part of the considered a nut? Why do most peanut farmers also grow cotton?

They have to switch crops for the soil, nutrients-gain & loss, & pests, etc. In your veggie garden too, you plant things in different places than the year before. Right Mr. Jim? :)

Basically it boils down to logistics and crop rotation. Cotton and peanuts are ideal crops for the climate and soil types here in Central and South Georgia, the mid state and low country of South Carolina, Northern Florida and Central and Southern Alabama. Tobacco was an ideal crop for a long time but....thank you government.....not much of that anymore.
