Ultimate Cat Lady: Woman Shares Her Home With 1,100 Felines

A caring cat lady has given up her 4,200 square foot home to more than a thousand felines. Sixty-seven-year-old Lynea Lattanzio now lives in a trailer on her six acre property and allows the cats to run freely through the five bedroom house. Today she runs Cat House On The Kings which is California’s largest no-cage, no kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats. Lynea and her team of volunteers care for about 800 adult cats and 300 kittens. The team starts feedings at the shelter at 4am and they also give medical attention to critically ill cats. Me neither. Mine became instant enemies 5 years ago after one of them had a vet visit. Friends became instant enemies. There is near constant hissing and chasing, attempted fighting....every single day.

@@patriciakeats5823 I got four... They make the only one without claws eat out of a separate food bowl and bully it, so when that cat gets a chance it'll slap the hell out of one of the other cats while they are sleeping. Nearly all cat fights end without a scratch and they're always funny to watch

Honestly cats are so independent you don't even feel their presence so much. They only NEED you for feeding, other than that they always find their own things to do. Fascinating creatures. I have four.

I must say, any person that would give up their own home (and move into a trailer) so that these precious cats/kittens may survive and thrive is inspiring. I am also amazed that it is as clean as it is. Lol, I only have 7 cats inside and, well....., I struggle just to keep my home cleaned up after them, I couldn't imagine taking care of this many, although I would love to. I wish I could quit my job and devote my life, just like this wonderful woman above, to rescuing/saving cats/kittens. I do what I can, I feed 3 feral communities, 8 strays and 7 indoor cats but my efforts are next to nil compared to this lady above. Ty so much for everything that you have done and continue to do, caring more for another life than you do your own, especially an animal life, is a virtue that most ppl will never have nor know. As someone who grew up in a cat hoarder home with 40+ neglected cats I was worried. I'm so glad these kitties have a chance of finding a new home. and they all seem to be doing an amazing job! I love the amount of care that goes into these babies 💖

Because here in morocco cats life is in big danger and no Caring from the society Many many cats die each day in here cuz of lack of protection and less care and food . I volunteered at a cat shelter for about 2 years to get my hours for school, and it was the best decision i ever made. it didn't feel like work, it felt like heaven, and i just adored to be there. I highly highly encourage any cat or animal lovers out there to volunteer at a shelter

I've always wanted to do something similar, with dogs! Rehabbing station, socializing station, hospital, rec yard, etc. Seeing her do it with cats lifts my spirits and my motivations.

Omg when I saw this video this women who started this cat sanctuary GOD BLESS you ...all the kitties that you have saved and given a second chance with life to soooo many kitties ....and the place where all these kitties stay you have an amazing cat sanctuary all the hard work you go through to help these precious precious kitties is soooo amazing !!!!! She keeps it organized, it's clean, every cat got medical treatment and they got enough space. There is nothing crazy about being a shelter just for cats. I mean they would be out there on the streets or in a shelter somewhere else. It's nice what this women does. 👌

Maaancheta yes she does and this is not a cat hoarding situation like we used to see on Hoarders or animal Hoarders. She keeps these cats in clean environment they are well fed well taken care of they are going blind and losing their hair and I think when I am older I am going to build my home and then build the second home for unwanted cats! No joke.

Alisha C Right! My mom had 5 cats and the oldest one always sprayed even after being neutered. So I know for a fact, out of all these cats this lady has, there’s got to be at least a handful that spray. Unless she can keep up on it as soon as it happens, it will smell. 😢
